Chapter 29

Chapter 29 That afternoon FBI Agent Edwin Storm still felt a bit under the weather but he managed to pull herself out of bed to take a long hot shower. He tried to come up with inside his head a number of reasons why his partner Agent Jones wouldn’t pick up his phone or have tried to kept in touch with him for the past three days but his mind kept going back to how relaxing the warm water felted hitting his soapy skin. Edwin did have better luck thinking after he had changed into a clean suit. The only reason his partner Jones would of failed to keep in touch with Edwin would be he was in big trouble. Agent Jones was a very smart by the book Agent that would follow every last protocol. Edwin knew his next actions was to find out what happened to his partner. Edwin drove to the diner down the street and order the breakfast special. As he waited for his breakfast to arrive he decided to open up his laptop and hack into the main computer at FBI headquarters in New York. The federal bureau was no different than any other government agency. Edwin and Jones both had to drive assigned government vehicles that had GPS tracking on them at all times. Edwin expected a long list of places to come up when he put in the Agent Jones vehicle number. After a short wait it popped up that Agent Jones had only been two places. Edwin recognize the first address as the apartment building that Timmy’s Aunt lived at. Edwin ask himself at first why would Agent Jones be tailing Timmy and his mind when back to the night they questioned Timmy in the hospital. Like a blindfold that’s been lifted Edwin find his thoughts turning toward the man called Preacher and nothing felted right about him. Edwin turn his focus back on eating his breakfast and let the rest stew in the back of his mind till about halfway through the large plate of food he found himself piecing together what he would call a crazy conspiracy theory. Edwin for some reason in his heart knew that Cory Potts was the copycat of the God’s will killer even though it seem more of something that the late Jason Grey would of done making the first copycat killing like a love letter to the God’s will killer. What if the real killer didn’t like Cory copying his work and decided to make her the next victim to his holy brand of justice and Preacher story of running into a crime scene after shots were fired sounded very suspicious unless he was the God’s will killer and he was following Cory Potts because he knew she was the copycat. Edwin could help to think his theory was very thin but in the end it made the most sense and if the God’s will killer was following Cory, he had to know after the parking garage murders what he was getting himself into going after her. The second address that come up was also the last. It was the address for the waterfront docks down on the river. It wasn’t a good sign that his partner’s car has been parked there for three days and hasn’t move. After breakfast Edwin Storm drives over to the waterfront and immediately he finds Agent’s car parked acrossed a large dock full of abandoned warehouses. A once thriving area is now reduce to decay like many other city’s acrossed the country like Chicago. Ruined by the economy that is currently destroying most businesses in 2016 as a result of most of the failed political policies of the government for the last several years. Edwin looked across at all the warehouses and he felt like this was going to be like hunting for a very small needle in a very large haystack.
