Chapter 10

Chapter 10. Timmy was surprised that he managed to somehow woke up early the next morning. Last night he didn’t sleep very well and he felt a shame with his Behavior toward Cory. He decided to sneak up on the spare bathroom door where Cory was sleeping to eavesdrop on her. Timmy very desperately wanted to talk with Cory and tell her how sorry he was for his little out burst from last night but he couldn’t seem to find the courage to bring himself to knock on the door. Finally after stand there for a long time Timmy decides to gives up and begins to slowly walk away when he heard Cory talking to someone. It almost felt like for a moment that he was eavesdropping on a private phone conversation. Timmy could only hear Cory’s side of the conversation but then he remembered that Cory doesn’t own a cellphone and the house phone was hanging on the wall in the kitchen. Timmy reasons with himself that even if Cory did have a phone, she had no living relatives and he was her only friend. Timmy plenty by guilt reminded himself once again that starting a argument with her last night was kind of a dick move on his part. Timmy now found himself back to square one on wondering who was Cory talking to? The only answer Timmy could come up with was that she was talking to herself and this made him question her sanity . Suddenly Timmy hears Cory yell out loudly in a burst of anger. “Dam it Jason” yelled Cory in a half crazy voice. Timmy tried to run down a list inside his head of everybody that Cory knew that was named Jason. The only person that kepted popping up was Jason Grey the gas station killer, the man who raped and almost killed Cory weeks ago. “But that could not be because Cory killed him” said Timmy quietly to himself. Timmy started to wonder about how much mental and psychological damage did Cory suffer from at the hands of Jason Grey on that fateful night when she was attacked. Timmy realizes at that moment maybe Cory wasn’t the only victim of Jason Grey’s attack from that night. He tries to force his mind to think of something else and that’s when the image of Cory shooting Roy Grey two times in the chest start to play on a loop inside his brain. Timmy felt like madness was starting to over take him when suddenly he heard Cory walking over to the door. Timmy quickly and quietly as he could manage dashes into the living room and dives onto the couch. Timmy quickly picks up the remote control and turns on the television set trying to look normal as possible only to find that the news was still talking about the God’s will killer. Timmy begins flipping through all the channels as fast as he can only to find that the killer was a popular subject this morning. Cory steps out of the bedroom and Timmy decides it best to turns off the TV set and avoid the morning news altogether. “what were you watching” ask a curious Cory as she walks into the living room wearing only a tank top and underwear, last night was a rough night and She gotten so frustrated with Jason Grey that she found herself yelling at him with her physical voice this morning and she hoped that nobody overhear the argument because it would be hard to explain that she was having a debate with a ghost. Cory takes a seat on the couch next to Timmy. Timmy looks into her eyes to find that they were bloodshot, it looked as if Cory haven’t slept a wink all night. “I’m sorry about the way I acted last night” said Timmy looking deep into her beautiful blood shot eyes. “no harm done” said Cory as she takes Timmy’s hand into hers. “let’s try to forget about it” Timmy begins to study Cory’s body up and down. There we’re cuts and bruises all over her from her fend with the Grey family the night before, she looked like someone that has been through a war that took her to the depths of hell and back. Timmy couldn’t help to notice even with all these blemishes they couldn’t hide the beauty of Cory Potts. Cory smiles when she notices the attention that Timmy was now giving her. “what were you watching” ask Cory once again sounding playful and she notice the nervousness rising in Timmy. “Porn” said Timmy knowing it was a lie but he didn’t want a conversation about Cory’s fascination with the God’s will killer. She climbs on top of Timmy and they lock lips in a long kiss. “my aunt Meg” said Timmy trying to push her away in a protest at first. “she left earlier this morning for work” stated a very aggressive Cory and things quickly get heated. Cory loved Timmy deeply and she knew this first time wasn’t going to be the romantic picture that either of them had dreamed about. Her body hurt all over and she was also tired both physically and mentally. Cory spend all of last night arguing with Jason Grey about how she not going to abandoning Timmy and his aunt to a MS-13 street gang. Cory knew deep down inside that Jason Grey was right that the street gang would eventually come after Meg and anybody that got in there way were doomed. Cory also noticed that Jason Grey seem very dangerously obsessed with having a bromance with the God’s will killer. Cory just wanted for desperately even for just a little while to unplug from everything.
