Chapter 2

Chapter 2 The man called Preacher stood in the middle of a large crowd in front of the New Jersey state capital building in Trenton. Tonight, the city would present its newest statue. Just recently an atheist judge ordered for the old Monument of the ten commandments to be removed because the people of New Jersey suddenly found it to be offensive, then the same atheist judge granted a local satanic church permission to replace the old biblical monument with a statue of the beast, A seven headed Dragon that’s written about in the book of Revelations. Things like this used to make the man that calls himself Preacher mad and he would yell up at the sky. Screaming why Lord would you allow this to happen. Preacher on many a Sunday morning would stand on stage behind His pulpit of what uses to be his church and preach about how the sins of this city will bring down God’s wrath someday. Many a day Preacher watched as God’s will would get pushed to the side by men forcing there perversions of killing the unborn or parading there homosexual lifestyles down the city streets. Then one day feeling defeated he turns to his trusted bible for comfort and even though he read the verses in Genesis on many occasions before, it took this one time for him to understand God’s meaning of the verse. It said that God gave man Dominion over the earth and animals. This made the man called Preacher realize that all them times that he had cried up to the heavens asking God why, God was also look down at him and asking the same thing. Sin was running ramp it in his city because he let it instead of being the diligent watchmen on the wall that the good book said the church needed to be. Preacher then vowed to the Lord that he would no longer allow sin to over run his city and the good Lord saw fit to blessed him with some special gifts for the fight ahead of him. Preacher like everyone else in the crowd waited with anticipation for the moment when they would pull the large canopy off there new statue. Preacher carefully looked around and was very happy to see every news channel in the city was here to witness his message from God. A speaker from the church of Satan walk up on a make shift stage and says a few word before offering his thanks to judge Trevor Thomas. The speaker then ask for judge Trevor Thomas to step forward and a take a bow before the crowd. The crowd waits for a long moment and it gave Preacher some joy to hear some boo’s in the large group, but the atheist judge did not come forward. Preacher gives a wide smile because he knows the judge was close by and he wasn’t alone. “I give you the beast” said the speaker with a gleeful pride as two big men quickly pulls the canopy off the statue. Most of the crowd cheer at first then there reaction quickly turns into silence and shock at the horror in front of there eyes. One woman in the crowd even go’s into a screaming fit. The seven headed Dragon was painted red in blood as a dead naked woman rested on it’s back, her arms we’re suspended over her head in a pose holding a golden cup that was full of more blood and around her neck she wore an expensive pearl necklace, but the one thing that made the sight most horrifying was that the dead naked woman was wearing the face of judge Trevor Thomas like it was some kind of a mask. The naked woman was a prostitute that Preacher picked up on the corner of center street and main. Last year the filthy prostitute was diagnosed with full blown aids but she seem to refuse any kind of treatment for the deadly disease and continue to sell herself to anybody that would pay for her services without informing them about the consequences of sleeping with her diseased ravished body. “behold the whore of Babylon” yelled Preacher with a sense of pride as he pointed up at the statue for a brief moment. Preacher baste in the greatness of his hard word and took in the reactions of the crowd let there emotion wash over him like it was the holy spirit. he then slowly come down from his glorious daze and makes his escape towards the back of the crowd. Nobody seem to take any notices of him as he slowly exits through the crowd. “they now know your wrath lord” said Preacher out load as he now walked down the street making his way to his car.
