Chapter 25

We played PS4, and a bunch of different games. Edward was really good at all kinds of games. He plays online too. We mainly played shooting games, which Edward has like 6 different shooting games, and their sequels, and the sequels to the sequels.

We tried playing online. I stayed crouching in a corner, while Edward went, and attacked. I was a great defender.

"Great defense is the best offense." I said, as I killed five online players, who were hispanic. All heard, and understood was qué pendejada. The rest was verbal cursive.

"Yeah, but if you have me, we make a great team. I am the berserker, and you’re the great defense. Have you ever played Dynasty Warriors? " Edward said killing his way through an abandoned building.

"No, I haven’t" I said, killing tilting my body, trying to stay alive, and trying to get a better view of my screen.

"In a minute, we should play it. "

"Okay, cool." I heard Some Japanese screaming, and we both laughed. Edward leaned over, and farted.

"Dude. " I looked at him, and scrunched my face. "Oh my god. " I laughed.

He laughed in an evil manner. He got us out of the game, and switched to Dynasty warriors 8.

"You’ll like this game. It’s not hard, and you get to slash through a lot of enemies. I play it when I want to blow off, or blow up something. Well, that’s pretty much why play video games. It relaxes me. "

We played some free mode scenarios, until I was comfortable with the controls.

"Zhao Yun is my favorite to play as. He’s really well balanced, and has cool moves. That and LuBu. "

He said, as moved the character without a flaw. I was moving my character like head had to find the bathroom in every corner.

"Tsao Ren is like you. He has great defense. His moves are pretty solid too. "

"he’s a little hard to maneuver. " I said, trying to hit everyone.

"You can’t kill your allies, bro. Follow me. " He said, moving his character to my location, and I followed him. We both made our way into the castle, and started to really do damage to the enemy’s ranks. It was just the two of us. It was fun, but it kind of old just playing it free mode, or story mode.

"You know there is books about this, don’t you?" Edward looked at me.

I shook my head. “No didn’t know that. What is the name of the book?"

"Romance of the three kingdoms." Edward stood up, and squatted a bit, and farted again. I rolled my eyes, and threw a small pillow at him. He laughed, and went to his shelf, and brought over a couple of books.

"Here. I’ve read them already. You can borrow them if you want?" I took them, and read the back.

"This sounds so interesting. Are you sure I can borrow them? " I looked at him.

"Hey, dude. Go ahead. " He went out, and brought some snake cakes, and coke.  I paged through the first couple of chapters. I drank my coke.

"Okay. I can take my friends truck tonight if you still want to go to this party?"

I looked at him, and I kind of hesitated my answer, but did not want to let him down. "Yeah, sure I want to go."

"Great. So in about an hour we will sneak out, and go. " He said, and ate some snake cakes, engulfing them almost whole, and played some more PS4. I paged through some more chapters, before it was time to leave.

We snuck out his window, after turning the lights off. We left a couple of erasers so the window did not completely shut, and we would have a way to get back in. We snuck our way across the yard, and across the street. Edward was much faster than I was. I had little legs, and Edward was more athletic. He had P.E, where I had more of social studies, and study hall. We got to his friend’s truck, which was a little beat up, and orange. Orange is a puke worthy color. His friend had said he could borrow it for the night, and left the keys in it unlocked, and parked on the side of the street for easy access. I guess Edward had done this a time or two because he was not nervous at all, or at least he did not show it. I got into the passenger’s side, and Edward got into the driver’s side. He started the truck, and drove off. I buckled up, and was starting to fell anxious about this whole thing. I mean Big Mike lived all the way across town. What if we get pulled over? Would we spend the night in jail? I got even more nervous at the thought, but Edward kept on driving like it was nothing, and obeying all the stop signs, and street lights.

We made our way across town, and parked in the dead end so we could get out easily. I got out, and the mansion was a glow with lights, and you could hear, and feel the music. All my worries seemed to drift away, and I walked up the narrow path to the door, and the door was heavy, but I opened it, and walked in. The music hit my core, and someone handed me a red cup full of something, saying it was a necessity. I took it and smiled, and made my way into the living room. I sat on the fire place and looked around. I did not see anyone I knew. I took a sip. I made a face, but drank some more, hoping it be better as I drank it. It did not get any better. I looked around some more.

"Oh god. This is crazy. What am I doing here?" I whispered to myself, and drank some more, making a bitter expression. I’m so out of place here. I do not belong here.
