We, the Ever-Changing

We, the Ever-Changing

We went so far, so fast, carrying dirty little ideas and black hearted notions with us into what should’ve been a brand new era. Now here we stand, separated from each other in almost every sense (my one respite being that we are physically close, a treasure in and of itself), you wanting to leave, me wanting to stay. We’ve been here, in this place for so long that we are now alone, together. All of the old gods and Titans of being have fallen away or gone off, into the infinite void, seeking a greater sense of self. That’s old news, though; all of the immortal kind were dead and dying far before we became living things, before we were articulated into life. Even this seemingly complex issue is nothing new, condensable to its core principle of love.
