Pensive Free Verse

A black silhouette caress my cheek
A charming hallucination come in mad times
I kiss the air that’ll give you breath again, someday.
I kiss the air that’ll give you life.
Walking through the valley, death is nothing;
Just another mistake of man and the myth
Cherish the time you have with me now,
I won’t always be there to catch the waves of the new world.
Contentedness in all things comes with a price.
Just like life.
And like life, we push the veil of so called limits
Grasping at straws for some new eternity.
I dwell in darkness,
The light fools this bundled mess of perceptions and sensory bits.
Then here with the rock bottom upon which I stand
I strike out at the world
Begging you all to watch me bleed
Out into your living waters I’ll walk
Hoping someday soon we can be friends
Til that time I’ll sit here by my lonesome, listening to the jazzy tunes that spike heart
Bringing emotion to myself once more.
You dig?
