Amanda Orneck liked the forum thread, List of my recommendations?
Hi Inkshares staff ( @Thad Woodman @Elena Stofle etc) - I am wondering if there is a way for me to look at a list of my Inkshares recommendations? It feels like once I send one there’s no way to easily access them again. Having a page I (and my followers) can go to and see all the recommendations and reviews that I’ve written would be great.

As it is a recommendation from someone I follow only pops up in my alerts one time, and then they’re done. We can get more mileage out of this feature if they could be collected in a single place and saved, in my opinion.

    Thanks for your time!

Amanda Orneck liked an update for Tears of the Assassin

Dear Fans of the Assasin, Earlier this week I signed all the pre-ordered paper copies of Tears of the Assassin. Today I shipped them back to California for distribution on the publication date of Feb. 7th.  I gotta tell ya, it was really cool to see my book in print.  To hold in my hands the cover, the words, the story, it was very gratifying.  I know I have all of you to thank for that surreal experience of book building culmination!.  With gratitude and appreciation, I thank you for your support.  I would also appreciate it if you would check out my Willian Schiele Facebook page.  Thanks

A note on free fonts: Make sure that they’re free for commercial use specifically. Many free font sites (like dafont) have fonts that are free to use for personal use only.  Google fonts, and I think Font Squirrel too, are okay to use for commercial use. In short, read the fine print :)

            Happy 2017, folks!

It’s taken me awhile to shake the holiday blues (read: hangover). But now that I’ve gotten all the flu, food, and family one could ever hope for out of my system, I’m rediscovering cogency and am embracing the internet again.

First order of the new year: Say Hello to @Amanda Orneck, Inkshares author of Deus Hex Machina, here to share with us some key insights into crowdfunding, participating in contests, and being an Inkshares author. BAM!

What I enjoyed most about my conversation with Amanda, aside from her killer sense of humour, is how frank she is. She states exactly what an author needs to do, and exactly what an author needs to ask for from their network to get the job done.

Thank you, Amanda. Like @Janna Grace, @Jane-Holly Meissner, and @Alastair Luft, you’re an inspiration to me.

On the topic of inspiration, other talented and successful authors we’ll be hearing from include @Evan Graham, @Jason Pomerance, @Ferd Crôtte, & @Rick Heinz. If you have questions you’d like these authors to answer, please don’t hesitate to reach out/speak up.

Hello all! I am writing to let you all know that I have taken down my project from Inkshares as I have begun the process of seeking representation / publication through other sources. I’ll be sure to keep y’all in the loop on how things go! Thank you all for your support!

              Sincerely,

Amanda Orneck liked an update for Human Resources

                Happy New Year!

I hope this update finds you all well and relaxed after the holidays. Now the competition / campaign has finished, I’ll be sending out reader updates for Human Resources less frequently. The competition was intense, but the publication process should be a more measured journey. I’ll aim to update you all roughly every month. If you would like to chat, or get some questions answered, I’m happy for you to reach out. You can get hold of me on Inkshares, on Facebook, or Twitter.

Before Inkshares can commence the publication process, there is some remaining work I need to do to tidy up the manuscript. To make sure I don’t hold this process up, I’ve taken the leap and will be writing full-time through January. I’m one week into this and it has been amazing — something I never thought I’d be able to do, and wouldn’t if it wasn’t for the support I’ve received from my wife.

I’ve included a simple table below to give you an idea on progress. The first draft of the manuscript has been completed and I’m now working on a rewrite to produce the second draft (which is what I will submit to Inkshares). As you can see, I’m a long way through the second draft, and expect to have it ready for Inkshares by the end of the month.

Once the manuscript is handed in, it will take about twelve months for the book to hit shelves. This includes approximately five months of editing, followed by the actual manufacture, distribution, and marketing efforts.

Thank you all for your support. For now, I’m going to get back to finishing the manuscript :)

                Cheers,

                Robert
