Eric H. Heisner liked an update for The Living God

Thank you for following The Living God. It really means a lot to me and I hope you enjoy the read. I’ll be sure to take a gander at your work over the next few days and return the favor! Life is going to be a bit hectic because of a seven-day business trip coming up, so that process might be slower than I’d like.

I’m also working on a cover! I’ve been a cover artist for five years now, and I’ve made covers for my own little NaNoWriMo projects, but I’ve never been more stressed or vacuous than I have with this particular one. It is more complicated, given that I chose to illustrate the cover instead of using photo-manipulations. However, it is starting to come together!

As for the novel, it is mostly finished and in the final stages of editing and revision, which is why I’m beginning to post it on InkShares for others to offer insights or to enjoy. It has been my passion project for a very long time now. I’ve bounced around with other ideas, I’ve written probably six first drafts of other manuscripts of all different genres, but I’ve always come back to this one. Something about it won’t let go of me, or I won’t let go of it. I’m not sure which is the case. For whatever reason, I’m glad I didn’t.

Again, thank you for following The Living God. I hope that you enjoy it!

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Kale & Jason

    1. First off, thank you. Whether you pre-ordered ’Kale & Jason’, spread the word or followed, your support means the world to me. 10 pre-orders, 240 more to go before November. This book will not happen without you, so again, thank you.

    2. New sample chapter: Chapter 2 - War is Coming, our first meeting with Jason, a warrior’s apprentice. You’ll find that while Kale & Jason’s lives are very different, their dreams are similar, only they have different paths to reach them. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    3. Recommendation: I recently read the first chapter of Children of the Dire, by Y.E. Katerina. Good prose, dark atmosphere, check it out and leave her some feedback. She’s a great writer and I look forward to reading the rest of her book.

That’s all for now. Like I said earlier, 10 pre-orders so far, I’m stoked. If you like what you read, consider pre-ordering and spreading the word. Without your support this book won’t see the light of day.

    Thank you.

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Mission 51

9 days left in the funding campaign, and 83 pre-orders to go to reach the Quill publication goal. It seems daunting, but not impossible!

Can you help get Mission 51 published? If you haven’t gotten your pre-order(s), there is no time to hesitate! Please, get one (or more) now! Why not be on the short-list of Super Readers!?  :-)

If you are an author with an active project, get mine and I’ll get yours!

Remember, if I reach Quill, I will match the amount of money that people have invested in me and Mission 51 with a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities and their mission to help families with sick children.

Mission 51 is ready to launch. All it needs is YOU!

Thank you for your support! :D

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Tantalus Depths

Wednesday updates are becoming my favorite updates. I really enjoy taking a day off my campaigning to throw recommendations at other people’s books that I think really deserve at least as much of your attention as my own.

This week, I want to spotlight M. Robert Randolph’s book, Wings of the Crallow.

In the first paragraph alone, Wings of the Crallow snatches up your attention, then immediately subverts your expectations. This is the kind of experience you can expect to have throughout all of the story currently available to read. The highly symbolic prose of the story’s content lies somewhere between Stephen King’s Dark Tower and ancient epic poetry.  Modern writing terminology doesn’t even properly convey what this story is. It’s not merely a story, it’s a journey. Wings of the Crallow is a timeless, utterly phenomenal story I cannot recommend higher. Pre-order it immediately.

And on a separate note, Tantalus Depths has just passed 600 pre-orders!

I’m completely over the moon about this. Tantalus Depths is so close to that finish line...
We still have a lot left to do, but we’ve made it so much farther than most books manage here. I feel destined to reach that sweet, sweet 750. We only have 19 days to get there, though, so everyone get ready for the final push!
Also, as promised, I’ll be releasing chapter 2 as a reward for getting us to 600. Expect me to upload that and my video reading of it some time tomorrow!
You are all such incredible people for getting Tantalus Depths this far. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Man’s Damnation - Lore of the Aos Sí

Quick Update! I am at about 90k in words, and will be at about 120k by the 1st! So I am thinking it’s time to get excited! I’m going to finish this darn thing by hook or by crook!

Then once it is done, it is time to think about this campaign? Have you told anyone about this project yet? Have you followed and perhaps not read? Well, either way, it is time to start reaching out to those in your networks. Together we have a chance to get this book published, but most of all I need you all!

As for all the authors following this project, remember that I would love to reciprocate, reviews, recommendations, and could possibly use some beta readers if you are interested. Anyways back to the grind!

            Cheers!

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Disintegration

I’ve been writing since 6 a.m. I’m looking forward to delivering the manuscript to my five beta readers in just a few days. It feels good to be moving with some real momentum.

I know you get a lot of email, Inkshares-related and otherwise, and it’s probably difficult to keep track of the myriad projects you’ve followed, especially one like mine where the updates are seldom but ... if you can muster some of that attention for which there are a million different stimuli vying, and give some of it here ... it would be an immense help for you to spread the word that Disintegration is ... ahem ... coming together ( :P ) nicely and that it’s worth ordering.

We’ve been hovering just over 400 orders for a while. It’d be really welcome to break that mark and start making progress again. If you’ve ordered already, please take your belief in my book and encourage at least one other person to order a copy for themselves.

If you haven’t ordered, send me a Direct Message and let me know what else you need to be enticed.

All right, now it’s time for a nice, big, second breakfast (ham, eggs and cheese on tortillas with arugula and hot sauce, a cup of tea, some yogurt ... I wish I had some toast and cherry preserves, but I don’t) and then ... more writing!
