The first chapter, that I read, rolled out like the opening of the film Office Space but mixed with a bit of American Psycho.
An aging cop must journey inside the fractured mind of a killer in order to find a missing girl and put an end to a growing body count.  No one is safe and things may not be as they appear in this dark tale of murder, mystery, and betrayal.
Well, so far, it's been the most fun I've had being grossed out. I can't wait for more.
An anxiety prone exterminator believes vermin are stalking him. Strange sounds from inside his walls. Crawling sensations under the sheets at night. Snide rats heckling him from the shadows. Low on patience and medication, he decides to fight back.
I haven't had a chance to read all of what Mrs. Nelson has posted, from The Last Faoii, but what I did swept me along nicely. I'm in.
After her monastery is attacked and her sisters slaughtered, young Kaiya is left alone to fight back against a dark army and darker betrayal.
