Prologue

I stopped in front of the stairs to the palace to marvel at the beauty all around me. I turned around and faced the forest where they would be coming from. This was as good a battle field as any in the universe.

A giant fireball shot out of the forest and headed straight for me. I walked away from the stairs and faced the fireball. I caught it with my left hand and then crushed it out of existence. “You’ll have to do better than that Joshua.”

A man materialized out of thin air at the edge of the forest. He had jet black hair and blue eyes and was six feet tall. Even through his clothes you could tell that this man had never missed a day at the gym. He looked in my direction and asked, “How did you know it was me?”

I smiled and conjured a giant fireball of my own. “I’m the one who taught you Joshua. I would recognize your lazy conjuring any day of the week.”

“Lazy!?!”

“Yes son, lazy. So many centuries have passed and you still forget the basics.” As I was talking, I made the ball get larger. I held it above my head and it grew to be the size of Epcot Center. I threw it at my son and then I conjured a sword from nothingness and parried an attack from Sora. Joshua jumped up over the ball and shot a wave of ice and froze the fireball into an ice-ball. With his telekinesis, he stopped the ball from entering the forest and then lifted it above his head. Above me was Sora trying to drive me into the ground. With my sword, I knocked Sora away and he jumped back to land below Joshua. “That attack might have worked when we were kids Sora, but not anymore. Who do you think I am?”

Sora put his sword into the ground and put his hands out in front of himself. Energy started to swirl. “You are someone who won’t listen to reason. Brother or not, I can’t let you do this.”

He shot an intense beam of energy and as it passed the ground, the ground vaporized. I stood my ground and let it hit me. It felt a little like someone blowing feathers on my stomach. Seeing this, Sora poured more energy into his attack. I just laughed. Joshua launched his ice attack and before it could hit me, I sent Sora’s energy into the air causing the beam to shatter the ice ball into bits. Before they could realize what was going on, I teleported behind them and kicked Sora and jumped up and punched Joshua into the ground. Sora flew into the stairs and when he hit them, he left a huge gaping hole. Hitting my son into the ground created a massive crater.

I flew back to the stairs and lifted Sora out of the ground with my mind. I sent him flying back to where Joshua was. They both got up immediately. Sora was wiping debris from his robes and my son was getting dirt out of his hair. “Seriously guys, you’re not even trying. That didn’t even get my blood flowing. Was that supposed to be a warm-up or something?”

Joshua looked up and said, “No father, that wasn’t the warm-up,” and he turned around and gazed into the sky above the forest. Another man was hovering above it holding an energy ball the size of the Earth’s moon. It was my husband Jason and my other son Johnathan behind him. “This is the warm-up and the end.”

Why were they doing this? Didn’t they know that I didn’t have much of a choice? I had to do this. Janus entrusted this task to all of us but I seemed to be the only one following through with it. The universe had to be saved and they were trying to stop me from saving it. As God, I wasn’t going to allow that to happen.

I levitated above the ground and then I shot into the air to be at Jason’s height. He smiled at me and said through telepathy, (My love, we don’t have to fight. If you would just listen to us, we can come to an understanding.)

(No Jason, there is no understanding. You’ve known what has to be done and yet you all fight me. I will not destroy the universe; end of discussion!)

(We have to destroy it or everything will cease in a matter of days.)

(The universe has another 90,000 years Jason. I’ve done all of the calculations. We still have time to save it if you all will help me. I can’t do it alone. Please Jason, help me save the universe we fell in love in.)

Jason was silent for a time and then I got my answer. He threw the ball at me. I shook my head in utter disbelief. Joshua and Sora were looking on from below. They both seemed upset. Johnathan had a look of disgust and anguish. I guess they were sad because they thought I was going to die. I looked over and noticed that Jason was sad as well. I could see even from this distance. I am God after all.

Why couldn’t they trust me to know what was best for the universe? And the sad thing was I foresaw all of this. I knew it was coming and when, but since I had the vision when I was just an angel, I didn’t truly believe. Only God can see everything. And when I became God I saw this as clear as day and did nothing to stop it. How did it all go so terribly wrong to where my husband, my sons and my brother were trying to kill me?
