Early Awakening

Once everyone was up and ready, we headed out for some lunch, or maybe it was more like breakfast for us. We decided to be typical tourists that day. The first thing we would see would be the Hollywood Walk of Fame followed by some of the wax museums. I suggested we also do one of the Hollywood tours; the tour bus thing. We would do that only if there was time.

We somehow managed to fit it all in. We got back to my apartment and changed for dinner. Unfortunately, Jason wasn’t able to join us that night, but he had suggested some good restaurants to check out. After dinner we decided to watch a movie. I didn’t know how often I would be doing that though. Movies in LA were far more expensive than they were in Miami. Since it wasn’t a late movie, we also headed into West Hollywood to see what the town had to offer the gay community. It didn’t disappoint. I think we hit up The Abbey and Rage. I don’t quite remember. I had a little too much to drink. Jean had to drive us back home. Too many guys were buying me drinks. That never happened in Miami. Being with Jason must have opened the flood gates for guys to notice me. It was so true; that belief where people want you when you are happy in a relationship. That wasn’t the real reason, but we’ll go with that for now.

Saturday proved to be more of the same thing, including driving around the city so I could get my bearings. My boyfriend joined us (I loved the sound of that; my boyfriend), and showed us around. Jason even showed us where he lived. His place was somewhere in the neighborhood of Hancock Park. I wasn’t very good at remembering names so it was going to take me awhile to get some of those areas mapped out in my head.

We had an early dinner and watched movies at Jason’s place. At around 10 that night we left Jason’s and headed home. Matthew and Jean had a really early flight in the morning so we couldn’t do a lot that night.

My alarm clock went off at 7 the next day. I got the gang up and they started packing for the trip home. When they were finished, we loaded the luggage into the car and headed to LAX. We had breakfast at the airport, but our conversation was subdued. I was really going to miss those two knuckle-heads. They were my best friends.  I didn’t know what I would do without them there with me all the time.  Who would try new restaurants with me?  Who would tell me I looked fat in the t-shirt that wouldn’t even fit an infant?

At their gate, we hugged and they promised to call as soon as they got in. It was a lot to take in; them leaving me there and going back to Florida. We’ve been friends since our freshman year. They actually graduated before me since I changed majors three times. I had to stay an extra year. It was just that we’d been inseparable since orientation, and now they would be thousands of miles away.

As I was walking back to my car, I let out a massive sigh. This old man looked at me with an odd expression as I walked by him. He must have heard me. I just needed to get over it. Matt told me before they left that they would try to come back for New Years. It would also count as my Birthday event. Now I knew how my dad felt on Christmas. He was born that day so he never really got that many presents. That must suck, but knowing they would be back was enough for me.

After I left the airport, I decided to drive over to Jason’s place. We spent the day together. On my Birthday, we would have been dating for six months, and we still hadn’t had sex yet. I mean, we’ve fooled around, and there was the oral stuff, but nothing full on. I guess we were waiting for me to make the move out here. There really wasn’t a lot of alone time when he came to visit me in Miami. Well, we were alone now. Hopefully he was as anxious and horny as I was.

That night, we had dinner at his place. He cooked it all himself. We had filet mignon with roasted vegetables served with a nice cabernet. After dinner, Jason and I moved to the living room for more conversation. Of course, the conversation didn’t last for too long. Jason inched closer to me and started to stroke my leg. I raised my hand to his head with a gentle caress. I gazed into his eyes and he into mine and I saw the passion he had for me. Jason grabbed my head and pulled me in for a kiss. We played tongue wars for a few minutes before we ripped our clothes off. I began to nibble on his luscious lips and worked my way down to his nipples. He decided to start with my neck. Missing the taste of my lips, he pulled me off of his nipples and we kissed deeply. Jason then pushed me down onto my back and pinned me to the sofa. He kissed my face and worked his way down. He lingered just above my navel to tease me and then made his way down to the sweet spot. With his expert oral skills, he nearly brought me to climax several times. I had to stop him before he made me hit the point of no return and I wanted this to last as long as possible. He stopped and stood up. Now it was my turn. My hands were all over his smooth chest and I moved them down to undo his pants. Once I released his trapped member, Jason let out a gasp. I returned the kindness he had just shown me. It didn’t take me long to get him to the edge. Knowing exactly where to stop, I strung him along for as much as I could. His panting became more and more pronounced as he got close each time.

After finally coming up for air, he pulled me up and we kissed some more. He reached for his pants on the floor and pulled out a condom from one of the pockets. Obviously he had known this was going to happen that night. The slut. Anyway, he let me roll the condom on him, which was so hot. They were magnum by the way, in case you were wondering.

So, he moved me onto my back and adjusted me to a good angle. We finally merged into one being. Being this close to Jason felt like nothing I had ever experienced. I felt complete. That was the best way I could describe the event, and he completed me for the next two hours. I lost count how many times we climaxed together. I didn’t even know it was possible for me. I mean, that was the stuff of porn and sex stories. And the freaky thing was I never touched myself. It was all him and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I hoped that all the times after would be just as good if not better.

Completely spent, I fell asleep in his arms and he in mine. I woke up a few hours later with Jason looking at me. He had this playful expression on his face. Of course I knew what that meant. We made love again. That’s exactly what it was. I think it started it out as sex last night, but it turned into something else before we both fell asleep.

After we finished, he guided me upstairs to his bathroom where we took a shower together. We took turns washing the others back. I washed his strong back and buttocks and he did the same to me. When we were done, he dried me off with his towel while giving me kisses on my neck.

Walking down the stairs, we noticed the state of the living room. Our clothes were scattered in every direction. Now when did that happen? We both laughed. I started to collect my clothes and put them on. While he put on his briefs, he noticed the time and flipped out. “I have about twenty minutes to be on set! Shit, what am I going to do?!” He began to run around throwing anything he could find on.

I started dressing myself and said, “Don’t worry; you’ll make it.”

Ten minutes later, he was dressed. “Now how am I going to get you home and make it to work on time?”

“I can just walk home Jason. I live less than a mile from here and I need to get oriented to the neighborhood. Also, I’ve been here enough in the past couple of days to know how to get home.” I headed for the door.

Jason walked over to me and grabbed my arm, pulling me into his and we embraced. “I don’t want you to walk home. If I must, I’ll be a few minutes late. They won’t fire me for it. It’s not like it happens often.”

I backed away from him and then grabbed his hands. “Seriously Jason, don’t worry about it. I will be just fine. Please let me do this.”

He nodded his head and then gave me a kiss on the cheek.

We said our goodbyes at the front door and I started walking towards home. Jason locked the door and got in the car speeding out of the driveway. He honked his horn as he passed me.

On the walk home I noticed all the houses along the street. It was a really nice neighborhood. The houses were so pretty. All of that took a back seat to what I was really looking at. I was actually staring into space, because I was thinking about what Jason and I did the night before. Now as you know, I’ve had lots of sex, and not all of it was good. I had never done what I did that night. I’ve never had sex with meaning. That had all changed, and now I knew what I had been missing all of this time. I was trying to be fulfilled by strangers and not accomplishing that so I kept doing it. I had finally found someone who cared for me as much as, if not more than, me. It was the best thing to ever happen to me.

When I got home fifteen minutes later, I changed into my house clothes and sat down on the sofa. I would have turned on the TV but the cable company wouldn’t be there until the next day, so I just relaxed. I replayed the last few days in my head and smiled at my new life. Speaking of a new life, I would have to call that producer to get things rolling. I didn’t come out here for love, but music. Granted, I hadn’t even been there a week, so it’s not like I was in a great hurry. I fell asleep as I was thinking of what to do next. I woke up around noon.

After I got myself together, I called Ted Holland, the producer who gave me his number the other night. He answered on the third ring. He was on his way to lunch. He asked me if I would like to join him. I agreed and he told me to meet him at the Palm in West Hollywood. I got the directions and hung up the phone. Having showered earlier with Jason, I just changed my clothes and headed out the door.

I turned left out of the parking garage and headed to Santa Monica Boulevard. Once I got there possibly only thirty seconds later, I turned right. Ted told me it was a straight shot from there. I would just need to find parking unless I wanted to pay for valet, which is what a lot of people did apparently. I would probably do that anyway because my parallel parking skills were a little negligible at the moment. There weren’t a lot of spaces like that in Miami, so I never improved. This city would definitely change that in me.

As I was driving, I realized something. I was used to terrible drivers in Miami, but I wasn’t prepared for what I encountered. I mean, no one used a turn signal. They either drove way too slow or way too fast and no one was paying any attention. This was not going to help me combat my road rage. Oh well. Twenty minutes later I arrived at the Palm. I saw Ted after I had the valet take my car. He had already gotten a table so I joined him.

I hadn’t been able to talk to Ted a lot when we met at the party, but meeting him for lunch made me see what a cool guy he was. We talked for a while before the food arrived. After that, we got down to business. Ted let me know who he would get my demo to. He mentioned many of the top dogs in the music industry. I was surprised he knew so many people. It turned out that Ted had been a producer or executive producer for a lot of major motion pictures. He wasn’t too hurt when I didn’t know what all he had done. He was quite used to it. Unless you were a big name like Spielberg, only the industry people truly knew who you were.

After we finished eating, I handed him my demo. I let him know that it was my only copy, but that I could make more at any time. I kept the music on computer. “I didn’t record it myself, but I do know how to re-record it. I did engineering in school for a few years before switching to vocal performance,” I said.

“What school did you go to?”

“I just graduated from U of Miami last May.”

Ted nodded his head. “Ah, the Hurricanes; I know them well. My brother went there for undergrad. He loved every second of it. Sorry to cut this short, but I have to get back to the office. I’m about to start a film in a few days and I’m still trying to get all of the logistics squared away.”

“That’s totally fine. I did kind of call you out of the blue today. I understand.”

He raised his hand to call for the check. “It’s fine James. I did give you my number so you would call me. Plus, I’m sure you don’t have any friends out here just yet besides Jason. I would welcome a new one if you’re willing.”

“Of course; I was thinking the same thing.”

He picked up the check, I thanked him for all of his help and we hugged and went our separate ways.

As I was walking out, the hostess stopped me and asked, “How do you know Ted Holland?”

“I met him at a party a few days ago.”

The hostess looked a little flustered for some reason. “He’s a big shot in Hollywood. I’ve been trying to get a meeting with him for months.”

I felt a little sorry for her. Here I was walking into the Palm with a prominent producer as if I did that kind of thing every day, and she had probably been struggling for years just to get auditions. It was obvious that she was an actress. First off, she was too pretty to be working there, and secondly, if she were a model, she would need to be taller and she barely came up to my head. I wondered how long she had been doing this. I figured I would help her. I wouldn’t be there myself if it weren’t for Jason, so I said, “Why don’t you give me your name and number and I’ll pass it on to Ted for you.”

“Are you serious?!? You don’t even know me and you’re willing to do that for me, a total stranger?” She said.

“Absolutely; I’m only here because of who my boyfriend is.”

We exchanged numbers and then she gave me a hug. Angelinos hugged a lot it seemed. After I left her, I headed to the valet and waited for my car. As I waited, this impossibly beautiful man walked to the curb and stood next to me. I looked at him and he looked at me. I didn’t know what it was about him, but he seemed very familiar to me. There was no way I could have ever forgotten someone that looked like him; not someone that perfect. I must have been going crazy.

“You’re not going crazy,” he said with a smile.

“What was that? Did you say something sir?”

“I said that you’re not going crazy.”

What was this guy doing? Was he reading my thoughts? Was that even possible? This is the real world and as much I wanted magic and stuff to exist, I hadn’t seen any evidence. Who was this guy anyway?

“You will know soon enough James.”

“Hold on a second; just who are you? How is it you know my name? We’ve never met before.”

“In due time; I assure you that everything will be revealed.” He started to walk away.

“Stop, Amitiel!!”

The man stopped and turned around, looking at me in a perplexed way. “What did you call me?!”

“Your name is Amitiel right? Why do……I…..know…that…name?” For some reason I got very light-headed and then everything went white. The next thing I remembered, I was being pulled out of the street. I had almost been run over. When I became completely lucid again, I realized that I was on the sidewalk and people were gathered around me. I asked what happened and someone said I fell into the street and was carried to safety by the man I was talking to. I got up to look for him, but he had completely vanished. And to top it off, I felt completely fine. I felt better than fine actually. I had all of this energy like I could run ten marathons in a row. What the hell was going on?!?

Interlude

“Why is he awakening?! We haven’t even performed the ritual on him yet! This is a disaster!”

“Calm down Jason. We always knew that he was a special case. It is all happening within the acceptable parameters. Stop worrying so much,” Janus said.

Sonja chimed in. “He’s right father. He should not be awakening this soon. Isn’t this the very reason we suppressed his memories?”

Knowing this was going to happen, Janus just smiled and walked over to his daughter. “Like I said before, don’t worry. It is all happening the way it is supposed to happen. We all shall soon be free. Have a little faith.”
