INTRODUCTION TO BOOK TWO:

Ever since Lucius found out that Corvi didn’t tell Tuyette about Kyro, he became suspicious of her. As a result of his espionage, he discovered that Corvi has a secret lab that she called her garden. In this garden, he found that there were caged animoids and many bizarre plants and experimentations. Out of all of the bizarre plants, there was one plant in particular that stood out from the rest: the branches looked similar to human arms; the bark was like callused skin; the leaves were like human hair; and the fruit were heart-shaped and even appeared to have veins.

Corvi had a picture of Kyro in her hands. She placed it at the base of the massive tree. “What a fool he was. I knew that he would fail. If I hadn’t covered his trail so many times he definitely would not have gotten as far as he did. Shucks, without my research or the fruit from this tree, he would have never been able to make those people into hybrids in the first place.” Corvi smiled, “Although his plan failing was part of my plan, I never imagined that it would uncover the existence of the actual Crimson Bloods. That works out even better for me. With their fear of the Crimsons, all of the tribes will be like putty in my hands. All those lives that I had to take will not be in vain. Isn’t that right, Lucius?”  Corvi turned to Lucius who was hiding behind one of Corvi’s trees.

Lucius couldn’t move. He was frozen in fear.
