Hello Friends
Despite the rumors on the street, I was not abducted by an intergalactic dynasty who thought I was the genetic recurrence of their king. Which also means Channing Tatum didn’t rescue me (bummer!) so I could write this update.
The long silence is for a good reason. I’ve been furiously writing and editing The Catcher’s Trap, and I'm pleased to say I am almost ready to say “now is up to the editors!” (imagine me releasing pages in the air, so they fly across the country to the desks of the folks at Inkshares)
My personal deadline is to deliver the manuscript and all the other paperwork by the end of December so we can hopefully have a book by August; we’ll see. It will all depend on the quality of the manuscript I submit; that is why I’m working hard so is not a piece of garbage.
Of course, not all is work. This weekend I rewarded myself for all of this year’s accomplishment by spending the weekend with my fellow Whovians at the Long Island Doctor Who Convention. I had a blast! And if you live on the East Coast and are a fan of the Doctor, you should check it out next year.
Here is me after taking the TARDIS for a spin:
That’s it! I just wanted you to know I'm still here. Remember the book is available for pre-order so if you haven’t purchased your copy yet, go ahead and do it, you won’t regret it.
Have a fantastic week!
Acoyltes,
I apologize for the multitude of updates recently, but this is an exciting time! I am indebted to John a Robin, the author of the really, really awesome book called Blood Dawn, because he has truly pulled out all the stops to advertise and support Storm of Fury.
This week, we breached 100 copies sold! Only a mere 143 to go to get into Quill publishing! (I say mere, but it's still going to be a hefty fight.)
I can't do this without the support of patrons like you, so please help Storm of Fury reach the bookshelves. Try and get just one person to get my book, -just one!- and we'll get well over 200!
Thanks for your support so far; we're going to make it!
Zealot Andrew
(P.S. Stay tuned for Chapter Four!)
Thanks to Cory Wyszynski (author of U-Turn at Next Synapse, check it out yo!), I'm going to be a published author! But the journey is not complete, I still want to hit the magic 750, and I will not stop trying until the last day!
Thanks to everyone who have made this possible, although I may not be able to thank each and everyone of you in person, I will certainly make sure that you hold a special place in my consciousness.
To my 22 Sentinels, your efforts have been exemplary, and I salute you. \V/,
To those of you who have yet to pledge your support, you have 96 days left!!
You are some of our favorite people on First Earth. You given us hope and helped us believe we've written a book people will enjoy.
But there's another book we hope you'll order, too, so it can reach its 750 goal by 11/15, and we can each receive an autographed copy. SINGLE VERSION by Scott Barsotti is the reason the term Roach Punk was invented right here on Inkshares. It's completely different from Enhanced (but just as well written :) ).
Please order at least one, and convince a friend as well. You won't be sorry!
Okay guys, I'm dropping you guys a little update about what to expect.
I've been finishing up my round of developmental editing. I should be done very shortly, as I only have 59 pages left to go. After which, I'll be adding an epilogue. Ultimately, I'm ahead of schedule. I'm due to turn in the manuscript to Inkshares on December 1st.
After I finish this pass through, I'm going to ask how I can best release the entire draft for those who wish to read it. After all, a perk of backing the book early, is you get to read or see how these drafts work! If you catch anything, or have any feedback as I do this, by all means, send me an email!
After I turn in the manuscript to Inkshares. I'll undergo two more rounds of editing. One more round of developmental editing, and then copy editing. Meaning I'll have rewritten this book roughly six times before it sees print.
All told, to take a book from a blank sheet of paper, into a fully published printed book, it's looking like a year and a half turn around. I've been writing and editing on my own for the past year, and this marks the one year date when I sat down and began writing. So I'm getting very close!
I'll be dropping you guys monthly updates about the entire process, and trust me: You'll know when I start releasing additional chapters :).
