    Apologies for the lack of an update yesterday. It’s the last week of rehearsals for the play I’m in, so that’s demanding the majority of my time this week.
    Plus, I live in the greater Cleveland area, so my update would have just been washed away by the basketball-related social media flood anyway...

      Daniel H. Wilson, New York Times bestselling sci-fi author of ROBOPOCALYPSE, just gave IN BETA a glowing endorsement!

      Elon Musk thinks we’re living inside a video game, and this novel is primed to run with that notion and then some. This is an awesome high concept paired with a brilliant proven quantity in Prescott Harvey — dude, sign me up as an IN BETA-tester!

      Daniel is one of my favorite sci-fi authors AND he’s super handsome (see below). Thank you Daniel for the vote of confidence!

        Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Squids In

        Another day, another great piece of artwork from my illustrator Eugene Karasz. 


        In this scene, the story’s main protagonist Toby stands in the doorway looking bored after walking in on an animal activists meeting.

        Also, today I ordered and dispatched two of the three cuddly octopuses that I offered as raffle prizes. One has been sent to Thomas Arnold in Tennessee, USA and the other to Brian Guthrie in Frankfurt, Germany. That’s two completely different continents. If the third winner Prescott Harvey ends up living in Australia, that’d be awesome (although shipping costs would hurt my wallet a bit). 

        Prescott, be sure to send me your address details so I can get your prize over to you, where ever you may live.

        So then onto more important matters like how is the Nerdist contest going as far as SQUIDS IN is concerned? Could be better I think sums it up nicely. 

        Pre-orders seem to have slowed recently meaning that the book has been bumped down to 6th place by Regina McMenomy’s excellent "Mothering: The Game". "Sidescroller" is also nipping at its heals as it’s only 3 pre-orders behind...GULP!

        I have some loose ideas on how to rejuvenate things but this competition has already proven harder than I could possibly have thought just to get this far. The next few weeks will really indicate whether the book and I have what it takes to compete with the heavy hitters.

          Ladies and Gentlemen, 

          We are 26 orders away from Quill, and that is just amazing. This entire campaign has been above the projection and now we’re going to make guaranteed publication with this last push. So, what does that mean? It means soon we’re going to have some amazing art, amazing donation to charity, and then we’re going to go for the big goal, because we can. Just like this dog.

          We totally got this, so let’s just blast this goal and head for the next goal!

            Listen... sure, I said the 17th. Did I try? Oh, baby, you bet I did. Did life decide that the 17th was the perfect day for a combination of hard drive failure, needing a new car battery, and a bunch of smaller nonsense that literally took up every waking hour? Apparently.

            Criminey, being an adult is annoying. You know what isn’t? Having a brother who knows lots of stuff about cars AND owns all the tools to prove it. That, folks, is straight up awesome!

            Unfortunately, while I’m done with the art I promised I’m having some... uh... issues posting it here in non-giant size. Apparently these updates are a little weird about images, so I posted it on Twitter (I’m @SixelaZed). It’s a base design for Saan-Hu’s outfit, minus accessories.

            I have similar designs ready for the other six "main" characters, so I’ll dole those out over time.

            And, of course, here is the download link for the first four chapters of Blurred Weaponry with proper formatting and errything.

              Hello to all my Knightmares out there!

              It was a big weekend, and we officially hit the half-way point with 125 orders. We have doubled the amount of pre-orders in 2 weeks! That’s impressive! 

              Thanks so much to everyone who pre-ordered over the weekend. I appreciate every single one, and I appreciate the support and faith you have in me to put money behind my dreams. 


              With that said, we’re not done yet. We have 125 orders to go! Please, if everyone has two friends who you think might be interested in reading THE KNIGHTMARES, take five minutes and tell them all about it and what they’d be pre-ordering for, and see if they’ll purchase. I really need all the help I can get, and if you can get two people to purchase, for your trouble I’ll throw in a FREE tshirt. 

              So far only two people have earned a tshirt. The tshirts come out of my wallet, and I would like nothing more than to buy one for nearly each and every one of you.
