Tony Valdez liked an update for The Sleeping Man

The first draft is done! And to be honest, I'm 28K words through the second. What is the future of The Sleeping Man? Well, right now, the project is... sleeping. Works continues, because that's what authors do, but right now we need a wider base. I've spoken with the CEO of Inkshares and he's given me some great strategies to achieve just that. When the projects comes back (and it will), we only have to hit 250 pre-orders. With some fine tuning, people continuing to share and follow on Inkshares, and plain old-fashioned work. We can do this. Once again, the support I received has been remarkable and monumental in my motivation to pursue this and I want to thank you once again. I encourage you to share, review, and comment on Inkshares about the book. Thank you again.

Love,

Stephen Carignan

Tony Valdez liked an update for Seven Devils

Hey everyone! So, obviously the Nerdist contest was a no-go, and I want to congratulate everyone that entered and put their best foot forward. Unfortunately, Seven Devils did not not meet its pre-order goal, but I was overwhelmed with how many of you showed your interest and support in my novel. We got over 60 people to pre-order! How exiting is that!?

That being said, because we didn't meet our 250 order goal by December, the funding campaign stopped and no-one was charged. I have, however, re-started the crowdfunding campaign so we can get started on gathering the resources necessary to get Seven Devils published. If you are still interested in buying a copy of SD, it works just the same as before. You pre-order, tell your friends, and you are not charged a dime until we meet our funding goal and SD gets published! Everyone who did order, your pre-orders have been wiped from the system since we are starting anew. Any support is so, so appreciated and I cannot wait to get this off of the ground.

As promised, those of you who had ordered a copy in the last three months will be getting a signed copy once SD is in publication.

I hope everyone has a magical holiday season, and I will see all of you in the new year with Seven Devils finished and ready to be in your hands.

    Merry Christmas!

Hi my (presumable) fellow nerds! Guess what's coming up sooner than soon?

If you guessed the Review-a-Thon, you'd be right but WHO CARES

I'M TALKING ABOUT STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

      OBVIOUSLY

KSSSH! KSHHH! We're having daily light saber (or, "life saver" if you're three) duels at my house, my husband has dissolved into a pile of references, behind-the-scenes articles, and a complete re-write of Return of the Jedi (CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT HONEY), and I am just trying to STAY ON TARGET with all this stuff I'm doing.

I'm not sure if I'll be coherent on Saturday. We'll see.

But then we'll have the Review-a-Thon, and so I must tell you all about it!

There's a facebook event now! GO JOIN IT AND THEN INVITE PEOPLE!

Guess who's lined up for interviews during the livestream you'll be able to watch on youtube?

Jeyna Grace of The Battle for Oz and The Slave Prince!

Jim McDoniel of An Unattractive Vampire!

      Jeremy Thomas, CEO of Inkshares!

John Robin of Blood Dawn and the Epic Fantasy Syndicate!

      ...and Gary Whitta of Abomination!

We're also going to be reading some reviews posted that very day, listing off our top fave books in the Sword & Laser: Electric Boogaloo competition, and maybe even reading a scene from the screenplay of Dax Harrison by Tony Valdez!

I'm sending out the review assignments Friday morning, so if you want in on the review exchange email me at cara.c.weston@gmail.com soon.

And in the meantime... may the Force be with you.

Tony Valdez sent an update for Dax Harrison

        Good morning everyone!

It's time for Dax Harrison coffee mug giveaway #5! CLICK HERE TO WATCH!

DAX COUNTDOWN: 11 days remaining, 53 orders to publishing

Well, this is it folks. It's been a valiant effort, but we are most definitely down to the wire now. If you've been following the book and have yet to pre-order, now is the time. If you already bought the book, but you have some spare Inkshares credits to use, a 2nd order would be much appreciated. If you have friends or family who might also be interested in contributing, now is the time to spread the word and get them to order ASAP!

Hopefully, this Saturday's Review-A-Thon event will help push those final orders through. In case you forgot about that, here's a nifty reminder courtesy of fellow author A.C. Weston...

        .

On December 19th, all authors and readers are invited to leave reviews on currently funding Inkshares books using the Inkshares "leave a review" option.

Throughout the day we'll be hanging out on Twitter in the #InksharesReviews tag as we share our favorite book projects, answer author Q&As, debate the merits of astronauts with swords versus cavemen with lasers, and more!

Then, from 3 - 5pm PST (6 - 8pm Eastern), JF Dubeau and Paul Inman of the WriteBrain Podcast will be hosting a video livestream filled with author interviews, review readings, and live announcements of prize winners!

        Prizes?!?!

Everyone who leaves a review on December 19th by 3pm PST (6pm Eastern) will be eligible to win one of our fantastic general prizes:
        • Sword & Laser Contest Winners Package - print copies of the six winning books from the Sword & Laser Inkshares contest!
        • Nerdist Contest Winners Package - print copies of the five winning books from the Nerdist Inkshares contest!
        • An immediate pre-order of the book of their choice for five winners!
        • $30 in Inkshares credits!

Readers: Peruse the "currently funding" books on Inkshares and leave as many reviews as you want on Dec 19th. You could even start up a "must-have" list of books to order in case you win a free pre-order or the $30 in credits!

Authors: Join our review exchange to leave three reviews in exchange for two guaranteed reviews on your Inkshares project and a chance at author-exclusive prizes! Email AC Weston at cara.c.weston@gmail.com to learn more and get on the list.

        ----

And finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to fellow authors Jim McDoniel, Thomas J. Arnold and Joseph Asphahani, who gave Dax some lovely shout-outs this past week. Be sure to check out their own projects at the links below. You should also keep them in mind for the Review-A-Thon!

An Unattractive Vampire - Jim McDoniel
The Animal in Man - Joseph Asphahani
Exile, Magus - Thomas J. Arnold

        Cheers!
