Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Mission 51

As Mission 51 waits patiently for a suitable Inkshares contest, I thought I would send this little reminder to you all about tomorrow’s supermoon.

As you may or may not know, the moon plays prominently in Mission 51, so I take every opportunity to observe it and bathe in its glory!

On Nov 14, 2016, the full moon will be as close to the planet Earth as it has been in decades, or will be for decades hence. It will appear significantly larger than usual. Expect great photos from all over the world.

Here is a bit of moon info from NASA. https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/novembers-spectacular-supermoon

Don’t miss it! Enjoy!

Peace and love!

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Sunshine is Forever

    Hey Campers!

I am still getting a lot of emails/messages asking me when they will receive their books. The answer: SEPTEMBER 2017.

Why does it take so long? It takes time to edit, market, and design a book. Plus, it takes time for companies like Barnes and Noble to decide how many copies they want to order for their stores.

Read more about how Inkshares works here: https://www.inkshares.com/how_it_works

Since you preordered, you will be among the first people to receive the book when it is released! Thanks again for all of your support!

Peace and love to all of you!

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for The Last Faoii

      Greetings, Faoii!

Just a few short updates to keep you in the loop.

      1) We’re still at 284 pre-orders. We haven’t sold any at all for the month of November. I know that this is because you all put as much force as you could into trying to get us to the top 3 in the G&S contest, and I am still grateful for that. However, the campaign is still going on through the end of the week. If you know of anyone who wants their signed copy, make sure to direct them to the page while there’s still time.

      2) My last beta just finished reading the manuscript. It took him 2 days, which I find comforting. I enjoy it when my betas can’t put the book down! On top of that, he also gave me a WONDERFUL idea on enhancing a part of the book that I really think you’re going to love. I’m currently working on that part, and while I’m frenzied in my desire to perfect it, I’m also elated at how it’s turning out. I look forward to sharing it with you when the book comes out. ;)

      3) Work on the sequel continues. It is... very dark, but I absolutely love it. Possibly even more than the first book, but for different reasons. I might start posting excerpts later on. Let me know if something like that would interest you.

That’s it for now, Faoii. I hope your own battles are going well. Shield up!

I was hoping I would be able to hold off until there was a final resolution but this is still ongoing. I spoke with the CEO last week and he told me the book will be published and they are still uncertain about the computer glitch that caused the refund. He hoped to have it all resolved by the end of this past week, which obviously has not happened. My hope is that this hiccup will be nothing more than a delay, but it’s been three weeks and beyond a phone call with vague assurances I have not seen any progress at all which does worry me. I wish I could have written more positive news but my intent is to be as transparent and honest as possible with everyone here.

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Witherfist

Hello, everyone! Hope you’re having a relaxing start to the weekend.

With 49 days to go, Witherfist has just hit the home stretch.

The book has been fortunate enough to get some extra support and preorders this week from the Epic Fantasy and Rite of Passage syndicates. Both chose Witherfist as their November pick - thank you so much to everyone who recommended and voted, both in these syndicates and in others within the Inkshares community.

With over a month to go, and just 33 additional preorders needed, I’m confident that we can do this!

          ~ Jenny

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Murder at the Veterans’ Club

As I write this, it is the final hour of Remembrance Day--Veterans Day in the U.S., and Armistice Day in the 1920s world of "Murder at the Veterans’ Club". It’s a solemn occasion, for remembering the sacrifices made in the name of one’s country. In Cape Town, South Africa, they began observing a daily three-minute silence from April 1918 onwards; this idea spread through the commonwealth and became, in 1919, an observed two-minute silence from 11:00 to 11:02 AM on the 11 November, the anniversary of the Armistice.

One minute for the soldiers who died. One minute for their families left behind.

To all the veterans out there, to their families, and to the families of those who are not coming back ... thank you.

On this occasion, we had an interview with Regina McMenomy of The Geek Embassy. Dr. McMenomy is the author of "Mothering: the Game", available for pre-order at Inkshares.

And, because it’s a day for remembering our veterans and because my background is in Architecture, here is a link to a news story about housing for homeless veterans in Kansas City, Missouri.

            Let us not forget.

Chilling, post-apocalyptic fiction - well written, exciting, and I want to read more!

The air has become poisonous. Olivia and her fellow travelers have miles of underground tunnels standing between them and The Haven. And forget about vampires and zombies...at the end of the world, there are cannibals
Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for The Lore of the Aos Sí

              Hail Bards!

I am reaching out to let you know that the third draft of The Lore of the Aos Sí goes well! Things are coming together in a magical way, it has been so fun crafting this world and seeing my readers enjoy what I have put forward thus far. The Third Draft should be complete by the end of November and it is on to the final leg of the campaign.

As of today, the book sits at 78 Pre-Orders, which means there is a great deal of work to do! There are 168 of you following this campaign if you have found the story interesting I am calling on you to click that shiny Pre-Order button today!

If you have already Pre-Ordered and Joined the Order of the Bards, thank you so much. I am calling on you all to please make sure to share the book and spread the news. If everyone who has ordered could share the book with their circle and bring another person into the Order of the Bards the campaign will be in great shape.

Now back to work for me, I have some very crucial work to complete in chapters six through nine today.

              Blessed Be
