Zumbro 2 is rounding the star and at a considerable distance for the sensors. Zumbro 1, however, is maintaining its distance. Oh boy thought Sebastian. Buttercup, caught the expression on his face.
“What, what is it?” she asked.
“Jocko, is the wormhole in a synchronous orbit with Zumbro 1?”
Yes, the wormhole is trailing Zumbro 1 at approximately 20 degrees. Well that settles it. The woman cleared her throat again.
“Jump points can’t be placed too close to planetary bodies. However, you don’t want them too far away either. You want them to orbit the sun at approximately the same rate as a planet or else you might have to travel all the way around the sun to get to it.”
“You’re saying…”
“That this wormhole is almost in the perfect position to act as a jump point for Zumbro 1. It’s almost identical to the setup back home.”
“So at one point in time…”
“This system was once inhabited by an intelligent race. One capable of interstellar travel.”
