Davila liked an update for The Seventh Age: Dawn

Greetings!

Food Holiday is over! I hope everyone loaded up and then promptly slept like lions. Then came the blackest of black Fridays where humans stampede over each other in a time honored ritual of consumerism.

Now, as we continue our march of metal holidays into the land of illuminated trees, impractically wide candles, and finally putting 2016 in it’s grave--there is one more holiday that needs to be highlighted:

Krampus Day.

St. Nick’s counterpart. The Half-Goat Half-Demon comes on December 5th and his soul purpose is to give children who misbehaved the gift of murder. That, or coal. You see, right before St. Nick’s day on December 6th, Krampus comes out on the night before hand and rather than reward children, he gives terrible presents instead as a reminder.

If you are curious at just how awesome Krampus day can be over in Europe, check out this video of a parade. (I am going to try some embedded HTML code below and I don’t know if it will work. There is no preview feature on these updates)

    Greetings!

Just a quick update today. I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween and engaged in the acquisition of wine and treats! I couldn’t post it last week, so, even if it’s a bit late... here is an article I wrote for Geek & Sundry about Legends of Halloween.

As for me, activities over the past week netted me this picture: (Painting by Eric Vernor)

    As for Seventh Age news:

    • Today we are hosting The Second City Shuffle, a one-night Live Action game set in the world of the Seventh Age. I’ll be posting pictures in the next update.
    • We’ve got all our early blurbs and endorsements in, and the cover is being finalized. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read this early! I’m saving the actual quotes until we get closer to launch date.
    • NanoWrimo is underway, and I’m working on the creation of a cyberpunk world for a game. It’s pretty damn neat!
    • My sequel, Seventh Age: Dystopia is fully outlined with scene by scene, chapter, and character guides. I’m applying new techniques that I learned over the course of writing the first book!

Alright. That’s it! I’m off to go be a massive geek and roleplay Patrick O’Neil for a night!

It’s Halloween time! The best time of the year, let’s all get drawn in by the hypnotic allure of the undead, pumpkin spice, and endlessly singing "This is Halloween" for the next 11 months.

So here is my plan. Starting next weekend, I’m going to do one weekly update regarding Samhain lore and history leading up till the special event I’m hosting on 11/5 in Chicagoland set in the Seventh Age world. If you are interested in attending, find me on facebook for a one night LARP.

Now, in other book news... there is actual news:

      1. I’ve been writing articles for Geek & Sundry for a while now. Mostly focused on gaming, rpging and storytelling. You can find them all located HERE.
      2. The Seventh Age has gotten an offer for an AudioBook! It’s going to be so weird hearing someone else read the lines that I wrote. I’ve got no real details at the moment. But more to come!
      3. After watching Voltron the new Animated Show, I’ve decided that I’m perfectly okay with Aliens kidnapping me, knocking me out, and me waking up with white hair, an awesome scar of some kind, and a bad-ass cybernetic arm.
      4. As for my Sequel Dystopia, I’m going to let the funding on that run out I believe at this moment. The campaign page was designed for a contest and I’m just going to chill on that for now and keep writing.
      5. Release date is still 01/17/2017. If you haven’t read some of the sample chapters or picked up a copy... no better time than this month.

      Now, some Samhain News:

It’s celebrated from Sunset of October 31st to Sunrise on November 1st. So you’ve all got to update your trick-or-treating stuff. None of this "in by nighttime nonsense". Claim the night like proper monsters.

Remember, on this night, it’s because Demons and Faeries roam the wild and the veil of the living and dead is thin. So you leave out food and wine and treats to placate them and leave your house alone. This is also why you dress up, less you be kidnapped and dragged off into the forests.

I’ve been seeing a lot of candy, and sometimes some food. But I’m not finding a lot of offerings of wine being left out. Again, for you Chicagians. I drink Red Wine.

      Until next week!

Greetings! Time for an update! Wizard World 2016 Wrap up!

Last weekend I had my first booth at Wizard World in Chicago, and I’d like to give a thanks to everyone who was a part of that. Particularly BaconMooseComics for allowing me to share half our corner booth.

If you want to see all our pictures of the amazing cosplay we found and our booth set up, go ahead and click :Here: go ahead and hit "like" on that page if you want.

In other news, Inkshares has been hard at work figuring out the best date to release the book, and that means things got changed.

The book’s official release date is now 1/17/17. If there were 17 months in a year, I really would of tried to get it there..

Either way, this extra time allows me to conjure up some more conventions, articles, and start writing the sequel, Dystopia.

          Until next week!

Today, with this update, I need your assistance. Fans of the Seventh Age, I need you to rally and click buttons!

There are three buttons we are after:

            1. Author Facebook Page: Click Here
            2. Amazon Author Page: Click Here
            3. Seventh Age: Dystopia: Click Here

By clicking "like, or follow," on any of these, it helps a ton in getting off the ground. Feel free to be interactive, ask questions, post things to my walls. Distract me from writing short stories about vampires who hunt and stalk internet trolls for food!

Plus... I’m going to start putting artwork up at all these places where it’s a bit easier to organize. For the sequel: Dystopia. I hear-by promise I shall not spam thee. I will only update either Dawn, or Dystopia once a week, on alternating weeks. You’ll get mail from me, but I dare not send you two messages within the same week, after this week.

Lastly: I’ve got my next artist piece from The Art of Rachel Perciphone. Here is the Council of Death Lords, leaders of the Unification.
