Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Wings of the Pirate

Hello Adventure Readers,

Well ...  things have stalled out a bit with preorders and we are still a bit short of our 250 needed for publication.  If the idea of a female ’Indiana Jones type’ searching for treasure in the South Pacific with a  rascally ex-pat seaplane pilot appeals to you, then jump aboard with a preorder to make this book really happen!

Thank you to all my friends & family who have ordered already and thank you to all of you who will order soon and will be forever on my supportive list of Friends.  "Wings of the Pirate" is a completed novel that has been polished countless times and is ready to hand over to the Publisher once we reach our 250 preorder goal.  My good friend & Artist, Al Bringas has already done over 20 illustrations and will be finishing up the rest shortly.  If all goes well, you should have your copy of the book early in the spring of 2017.

Now is the time to jump in with a preorder!  It would be fantastic if everyone who follows the project grabs an ebook or goes for the special 1st edition, autographed  ’Hardcover’ (a rarity for Authors in the world of ebook & paperback), then we would be at our goal in no time.  If you’re interested in seeing this book in print, sign up for a preorder or tell someone who loves old fashioned adventure with seaplanes, Air Pirates and mix of colorful characters in the South Pacific to get theirs!

Every order really makes a difference and your support is important to me and very much appreciated.

Thank You!!

And everyone will be receiving their e-book  copies very soon...(and if the skull seems uh, weird, it will make more sense at that point in time...  or you can just read THIS!)

      Dear Inkshares family,

With only 24 more days of funding, I am asking for your help! The first little step: I need 5 pre-orders to reach 150. If you could find it in your heart to fuel the fire with a pre-order or two, I would be forever grateful! Also, at 150, the Mission 51 Raffle kicks in. Someone is going to win a personalized Idan Carré sketch suitable for framing!

      Thanks, everyone!

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Welcome to Deadland

          Hello Everyone!

I know I sent out an update a few days ago, but in the days since the eBook was released to backers, and as we get closer to the official launch date and release of the physical copies, a few exciting things have happened!

Today, as I was sitting on some steps at the park trying to catch a Dratini in Pokemon Go, I received an email with a link to an article. Out Traveler has listed Welcome to Deadland as one of their Top 8 Summer Beach Reads! And not only that, it made the list alongside both Amy Schumer and the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script!

I’m sure you can all imagine my excitement as I stared at the article in awe. I have the crew at Nerdist, Inkshares, and Girl Friday Productions to thank for all of the hard work that went into finalizing the manuscript and pushing it to be better than the day I turned it in. And I have to thank all of the backers who supported my book during its campaign. None of this would have been possible without everyone involved. (I caught the Dratini, btw).

Yesterday I received a few text messages from two of my friends’ mom. She opened with, "WTF!!!! Why did u have to kill ____________???? I liked ___________." I guess you’re doing something right when your readers can feel such a strong connection to your characters, right?! She also went on to tell me that even though she was hesitant to read the book, because zombies and terror aren’t her thing, she was sucked in from the first chapter and finished the book over the weekend. Sorry about that shark scene, tough, Ms. Julie ;)

What was awesome about her comments though were that she showed, even if you don’t think zombies are your thing, you can still enjoy the story and characters at Welcome to Deadland’s core. If you’re still hesitating over whether or not to pre-order, maybe Publisher’s Weekly, Out Traveler, or an originally skeptical and hesitant reader can help persuade you!

Come one, come all! The gates to Deadland are opening, and you don’t want to miss out.

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for This Poem Doesn’t Mean Anything

            Hello everyone,

My latest poem, titled "Quick Response" is a set of QR codes: Each stanza is a QR code. So you will need to view it on a laptop or desktop and read them with a scanner. (QR in a QR Code stands for "Quick Response," BTW).

And again, 250 seems pretty far away with only 31 orders, so if you haven’t pre-ordered a copy, please consider doing so.

            Thanks!

This is fabulous. The writing is perfect. I read the first 3 chapters without looking up. Well-done Kyle T. Cowan - this one is going the distance!

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked a review for Sunshine is Forever
Teenagers go through a lot of s... storm and stress. A thousand stories about teenage depression have already been told, but I guarantee you haven't read one as expertly crafted as "Sunshine is Forever" in a long time. Author Kyle T. Cowan gives his character, Hunter, a truly believable life and an authentic (and prematurely world-weary) voice that expresses it. The first chapter alone will not only leave you wondering what happened to Hunter that made him this way, it will make you sincerely worry over what will happen to him next. ...pretty much exactly like watching a teenager grow up.
