Leo Valiquette liked an update for Fae Child

Hello backers and supporters!

Fae Child will have been out in the world for a month on January 15th, and I couldn’t be more pleased. You should have received your copies (ebook or paperback) of the book by now, and if you are still waiting for a paperback or not sure if you ordered a paperback just email me and I can check your order for you.

Thank you for making this possible! In a month I have sold nearly the same amount it took me six months to crowdfund. Amazing!

Amazon is running a sale on the paperback for $7.59 right now, which is a fantastic deal and I encourage you to jump on it if you want a copy to hold in your hands (or to give to a friend!). Look at that cover art -- how could you not? I do not know how long this sale will last, as Amazon sets its own prices.

Once you’ve read Fae Child (and I hope you’re reading it now!), please please please log in to Amazon and leave a review. It could just be "I liked it a lot!"-- there’s no need to think you have to have paragraphs or fancy reasoning to justify your star ratings. The book is sitting at 9 reviews right now, and I’d love it if we could bump that way up. (In contrast, we have 70 ratings and 60 reviews on Goodreads, which is very exciting.)

The SEQUEL is underway, and I am nearing completion on the first draft. I would love for Inkshares to publish THE FURIOUS HOST, and I have entered it in their current competition. It is open for preorders but you don’t have to preorder to support it in the competition. Just click this link: [The Furious Host] , sign into your Inkshares account, and FOLLOW the book, and (after you’ve read Fae Child) READ the sample chapters!

Pre-ordering would also be wonderful, if you want to reserve your copy of The Furious Host (The Fae Child Trilogy Book Two) in advance. Thank you for your support.

Additionally, I have written a short story that takes place before the events of Fae Child, detailing how Nadiene and Charles met for the first time. THICK AS THIEVES is published in the Passageways anthology, for sale now! If you pick it up, let me know how you like it/leave a review.

Thank you so much for all your support,

Jane-Holly Meissner

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Henderson House

    Dear Henderson House Supporters

First of all, thank you so much for your support of my publishing campaign. We are at 30% of the funding goal which is ahead of Inkshares ideal trajectory - yippee!! In addition, I have more exciting news...Henderson House has been accepted as a late entry in the Inkshares 2020 All Genre Contest. This means we now have 2 Ways to Win. I can earn a publishing deal by hitting 750 pre-orders by March 16 OR I can win one by being one of the top three project in the contest at the end of February.

To place well in the contest, I need to generate ENGAGEMENT with my draft on my Inkshares page. Pre-orders are only one piece of engagement. The others are READ, DISCUSS, SHARE, and REVIEW.

The first 3 chapters of my second draft are uploaded on my Inkshares page for you to read (remember, it’s a DRAFT!) Please go online and READ them and if you would like me to upload the next three chapters, pop over to the DISCUSSION tab and let me know. I would be thrilled to answer your questions about the novel or the process on the DISCUSSION tab. It would be so much fun to keep uploading chapters for you to read and to start talking about the draft with you on Inkshares. I would LOVE that!

I know people have been doing an amazing job sharing about the book on social media, I’m so grateful, but to place well in the contest, I need folks to SHARE through my Inkshares page. There is a SHARE button on my page. When you click SHARE on my page, you can share to Twitter, Facebook, or through Email. If everyone could think of 3 or 4 people to email about the book, who knows, we might just hit that 750 early!!

Once you’ve read some of the draft chapters, if you feel comfortable, you can go to the REVIEW tab and write a review of the work in progress.

Everyone has been so engaged with the project thus far, I really believe we have a chance to place well in the contest if we can move that engagement off of Facebook and onto my Inkshares page. And of course, if engagement isn’t your thing, I totally understand. You’ve already helped me so much.

That’s the happy update from Dorset. Thank you again for all of your support and I hope to start chatting with you on my Inkshares Discussion page soon :)

    Cheers,

    Caren

Punchy, bleak and blunt -- Algae is the kind of cynical, don't give a frack loser who still exudes a perverse kind of charisma that keeps you reading. Good stuff!
      SOCIAL FICTIONS
A gamer, hated by everyone in a society hyper-focused on tech and pretentions to sociability, tries to figure out how to keep gaming when everyone wants him dead.

      Hi Readers!

Chapter 4 is now available on Inkshares. See what happens when Samantha learns to travel between earth and Elysium and her two worlds collide!

I also wanted to remind everyone that when we reach 157 preorders, I will be doing a $50 Amazon gift card giveaway. You’ll receive an entry into the giveaway when you pre-order and an additional entry for each person you refer if they also pre-order (just drop me a note with the name of the person you refer.) I’ll be doing Giveaways for every 50 pre-orders, so spread the word!

Leo Valiquette liked an update for MINE

        Inkshares Update: January 7th, 2021
It’s been eight months since my last update and I keep clicking my heels together and still flying monkeys rain down upon us spewing their virulent exhortations. Anyway, without rehashing the obvious that we’re all living, I did want to bring to your attention that Dean Fearce hasn’t given up. MINE is at this point in time still a viable work in progress and I thank you one and all for your patience and support. If something truly remarkable changes in the manuscript’s status, you will be the first to know. But do know this: I’ve produced another one-hundred thousand words in a single document and they are far better with more amazing characteristics than any previous thousands upon thousands of words I’ve strung together, creating multitudinous documents before they went to their final resting place at the bottom of a litter box. Requiesce in pace. But, that’s just my opinion so we shall wait upon the prophecy as foretold by the man behind the curtain to reveal the true nature of such a thing. You see, writing is easy. Creating delightful characters is harder. Stringing chapters together with continuity and a plot line that serves those characters with an arc that truly delivers them somewhere over the rainbow is harder still. I won’t even bring up those wicked witch revisions. And yes I do go on. It amuses me. I do so hope it amuses you but I still have my day job in any event. Hope you are safe and healthy and I love you all. Now go follow those writers in the 2020 All-Genre Manuscript Contest. Oh-Ee-Yah! Ee-Oh-Ah!
