Chris Robinson liked an update for Not Afraid of the Fall

Uhhhhhhh guys.... I’ll be honest with you... I did NOT think this was going to happen...

But it’s happening...We have passed 700 preorders with three hours to go...

Less than 50 LEFT!!!!

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO GET YOUR NAME IN THE BACK OF THE BOOKS...if you bought a copy just buy two more :)

In all honesty, this has been an amazing 48 hours... my eyes are bloodshot and the blood in my veins has been taken over by caffeine...

But this time I mean it...

WE. CAN. DO. THIS.

      Alright guys, here we are:

Four hours and 100 preorders to go, just how we drew it up.

      Here is the game plan:

Friends and family - You guys message that ONE person that owes you something, everyone has that one person...you know... that guy.

Everyone else - Well there is no one else-- you are all friends and family.

Once upon a time I held a raffle every ten orders. Do you remember those days? They seem so long ago, when we were all young, and the book hadn’t even really started being a draft. Fun times.

Well now that I have come out of Camp Nanowrimo 2016 on the winning side, I am able to get back to some of the things that I  put off...like this:

Yessiree, I’m shipping out the raffle prizes!

As soon as I get access to a car, I’ll be putting most of the signed copies of Shadow of the Owl in the mail. I still need to order a couple more, so there will be a round two of shipments happening over the course of the next few weeks.

Speaking of prizes, I wanted to  update you all on the standings for my Street Team rewards.  Currently the top five referrers are as follows:

          1. Elizabeth Dewey: 30
          2. Billy O’Keefe: 8
          3. Jason Pomerance: 6
          4. Joe Terzieva: 6
          5. Danny Minin: 3

Congrats to Elizabeth Dewey, who’s blowing everyone out of the water! Think you can do better?  Let’s find out!

Here’s a quick refresher on what prizes are available as Street Team rewards:

There are some awesome things in here, and I can’t wait to see who wins that grand prize. The trick is, the book has to fully fund for that to happen, and DHM is 500 orders away, with only 50 days left in the funding campaign. Who wants to help push this book toward the finish line?

As a politically correct Detective John McClane might have said in a children’s version of Die Hard...we did it, or rather a large percentage of you did it!  We made QUILL...so a heartfelt thanks to all of you who pre-ordered Louisiana Blood and dragged it out of the swamp into the light of day.

I’ll be doing some personal thanks to a certain amount of you who went above and beyond the call of duty to support me...you know who you are and I’ll always be grateful for your support and encouragement.  I still have over a week to go before funding closes, so if 50 of you that are millionaires want to buy 10 books each I’m not going to complain!  Otherwise, we’ll leave the big push for when I’m launched onto Amazon.  Now I’m going to celebrate with a small cup of nectar.

              ATTENTION:

T-minus 7 days and counting until the publication of Ageless!

That’s right, we are one week away!

This quick update is just to remind you to please find some time to post a review on Amazon and Goodreads by the publication date. (BTW, as of this writing the reviews are all pretty great)

Here are a couple of great reviews: Examiner.com & Julie Literary Reviews

DragonCon is a yearly event in Atlanta and this year for their 30th anniversary they’ve decided to create their own awards for SciFi and Fantasy called, what else, The Dragon Awards! If you enjoyed Ageless consider nominating me for an award. (Alternate History or Military SciFi would be the categories most like Ageless, yeah it’s hard to categorize)

              Thanks for your support!

Psst...this message is to all those who have preordered DHM.

Chapter 5 is now available for your consideration. Your codes for chapter 4 will give you access to the chapter, just follow the instructions in the email Isidore sent.

And for those just following the book with interest, you can get access to the full first draft as it’s being written. All you need to do is preorder the book and sign up for my email newsletter so that I have permission to send you email updates like the one that contains instructions on how to read the book. You’ll want to read chapter 5, trust me, if only for the chimichangas.

I’ve just started writing chapter 6, but I’m hoping to have it done either today or tomorrow. I really want to see how close to done I can be with the draft by the end of the month. Trouble is, more cool stuff keeps getting added to the book, so the length has so far expanded by two chapters. Like the chimichangas. Did I mention the chimichangas?

Have a great Tuesday, and feel free to let me know what you think of the book in the comments here, or on Facebook, Twitter, or hit me up via email: amanda [at] goldleafbooks [dot]com.

                  Okay, back to writing!

With hundreds of Facebook Shares, numerous recommendations from my  fellow Authors and friends on Inkshares (I will be more supportive to you guys soon, just stuck in go-mode right now), and who knows how many word of mouth recommendations...WE HAVE REACHED 400 PREORDERS!

This is a huge testament to the power of YOU, the followers of this book. We could have thrown in the towel with a week left and said "There is no way we can get 450 preorders in one week". That would have been the easy thing to do.

This book isn’t about taking the easy route. It is easy to NOT sell everything you own on Craigslist and travel the world. It is easy to NOT to leave your "Netflix after work until bed" lifestyle. It is easy to NOT tell your comfort zone to kiss your A**. It is awfully easy NOT to jump.

That isn’t who we are though.

I KNOW we can get to 750 if we build on this momentum! Please do not be afraid to ask people if they would consider preordering this book for $10. That is only ONE less drink this weekend in NYC, ONE less trip to Bojangles in the South (Huge sacrifice... but it is worth it I promise), ONE less herbal remedy in Denver, and ONE less coffee in San Francisco.

Let’s pull the biggest upset in Inkshares history and sell 350 books in these last five days. All it takes is YOU convincing a few people to preorder and it will happen.
