Knights assemble! Gravewalkers gather before us! (and Untoten crawl/lurch/stumble forth, no, we didn’t forget you)
Yes, it’s still a few hours away, but we think it’s duly time to raise a toast and congratulate authors Joseph Asphahani, Matthew Isaac Sobin and Craig Munro for winning the Sword and Laser Contest and also to the rest of authors participating – it’s worth your time in checking out their books and throwing them a pre-order or two!
We also wanted to thank all of our supporters for pre-ordering THE KNIGHT PROPER in the last three weeks or so – we have nothing but great things to say about our Inkshares experience and we’re also happy to say that the book should be in your hands, sooner rather than later. We’ll keep you posted in the weeks to come and again, we truly appreciate you picking up your swords and following us into battle...
Cheers,
Adam and Matt
Mugs Raffle!! Want to see who won the cool Osoporto mugs? Click the video! But I will be contacting this person via email as well so I can get an address for shipping purposes. Thanks all for participating. There's still a Beagle Freedom Swag raffle so why not pre-order to get in on that, or order another copy if you already have. Nothing wrong with that!!

Hello everyone !
It's been a fantastic couple of weeks for The Children of the Forest, and despite some solid competition from many of the other entrants in the 2nd S&L contest, we've managed to hold onto one of the top 5 places! I've really enjoyed the entire process, and as we near the end of the contest it's still looking like a toss-up for 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th place. Looking ahead, we have one final fundraiser scheduled for the 10th, so all local followers and friends are invited to come out and support us with free food and drink as we attempt one final rally for the book.
I'll be working on edits and some other stuff all day, and I'm hoping to have chapter 8 posted by the end of tonight. For all my followers that have yet to pre-order a copy, please consider jumping in and taking the plunge. There's currently more than 20,000 words from my book available to read, and your purchase enters you for a chance to win a $250.00 Amazon Gift Card (drawing to be held on January 15th)!
Until next time ~
Knights, Gravewalkers, Minstrels and mouldering corpses lying in the mud, tis’ high time we delivered an update worthy of your purview!
We’ve fought, clawed and scraped our way into 5th place, this parade of champions known as “The Sword and Laser Contest”, this morbid celebration concerning implements of death, but also of fantastic writers and their accompanying books – and we duly tip our hat to them.
As such, the competition is fierce, but we shall fortify our gullets with our usual wine of ill-repute and ask for your favor, no, not *that* kind of favor, but the one that involves PRE-ORDERS. Steel thyselves and drag out your friends, family and animal companions (at least the ones in possession of e-mail addresses) and grant us victory! Er, with more PRE-ORDERS, that is! We grovel, we beg, we-
Ok, ok, enough of all that. But yes, the pre-orders. REALLY important.
We leave you with one last bit of THE KNIGHT PROPER trivia for you… our rabble-rousing minstrel “Cass”, was originally “Cain”, inspired by a character that Matt had originally written for the game, Neverwinter Nights 2.
But Adam, sly agitator that is he is, had the great idea to turn “him” into a “her” and Matt cried and wept inconsolably at first, but then came to see that it was indeed for the better… and we think you’ll agree!
(Also, this is Matt, even though pretending to comment as Adam is a lot of fun...)
