Friends!
There’s an alternate universe where I do things I say I’m going to do in a timely fashion and don’t pop up a month after my novel’s been published to check and see how everyone’s doing, but you know. Life.
.
In this universe, my father asked me how to leave a review, as there is no information as to how to do so on the Inkshares page. So shout out to Papa Dorn, for without him I would have continued putting off this update.
First off: if you preordered either an ebook or paperback copy, you most definitely should have received it by now. If you haven’t, please contact either myself or the good folks at hello@inkshares.com and we’ll figure out what the heck happened.
Second off: I know some of you aren’t wordsmiths, so even just choosing a number of stars and telling the Internet that you enjoyed the novel and would recommend it helps me out in mysterious ways. There’s an algorithm Amazon uses that helps make Devil’s Call more visible once reviews hit a certain number. My sources say the number is 50, but who knows.
Please note that you need to have an account and be signed in in order to leave a review.

Happy Monday everyone.
Just wanted to let everyone know that after a bit of hyper-focus to the point of nearly blacking out, the BLUE WATER cover has been updated. I think this is quite near what the final design will look like, but there’s always room for a couple tweaks here or there. Seeing this makes it all feel pretty real. It’s getting closer and closer to our turn at the plate.

Whaddaya think, sirs?

Greetings, adventurers!
This will likely be the last time you hear from me for a bit as I delve into all the material necessary to help bring Mushroom and Anchovy to life. There’s a lot of work to be done, so if I don’t update for awhile, that’s why. I assure you that you will find out information as I do, so please don’t worry!
Thank you for bearing with me last week while I took a little step away. Here are the winners of the draw:
Congrats to PAULETTE DIOTTE! You have won the $50 Amazon gift card! And congratulations to VICTORIA MARTIN and CAPRICE FRANCIS, the two winners of the Hub City Survival ebooks. Hooray!
I’m "going on vacation" next week, which really means I’m taking a week long break from social media and work that isn’t 100% for me. I’m going on my bi-annual Unicorn Cave Writer’s Retreat next week, as well, to try and gather some new creative energy, hike in the woods, sit by the campfire, and more.
In the meantime, please join me over at my blog and my Facebook page! I just released a new post: What’s next? This regards the future of my other projects.
Thanks again for reaching this goal with me, adventurers! If you wanted to preorder but missed the campaign, you’re still welcome to do so as the book will be accepting preorders up until its release.
I may not talk to you all soon, but it’ll be as soon as I can.
May your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,
K. M. Cooper
Howdy and good tidings to all!
I have some very big news! But I am waiting on a few final pieces to fall into place before sharing all the wonderful details. It shall have to suffice to say that my game of Hurry Up and Wait has started to pay off.
To everyone, I wish you good luck and much success in all your ventures. To my fellow bibliophiles, authors and readers alike, I wish you the kinds of dreams that come true, no matter how unlikely, and the kind of truths that are as dreams.

Hey, all! Wanted to share with you a couple exciting updates on "The Shift."
First, I’m officially one of the Top 25 finalists in the 2017 Launchpad Manuscript Competition! This is such a vote of confidence for me and my writing. I’m blown away that I’ve made it this far on my first ever attempt at writing a full-fledged novel. The Top 10 will be pretty stiff competition, though, and will be announced at the end of next week (I’ll be in Connecticut for a wedding then, so hopefully I get to share some happy news with the fam face to face). So cross your fingers for me! Or find some names of the judges and send them vaguely threatening messages, your call!
The good news is, even if I’m not selected by the judges to move on, I can still get my novel published by having the most pre-orders here on Inkshares. Which brings me to my second update:
I am currently #1 in pre-orders out of 75 competitors! This is entirely thanks to all of you. Words can’t describe how I felt every time I got an email saying one of you had pre-ordered, especially from so many people across so many different times and places in my life. It was truly overwhelming. So thank you, thank you, thank you for being so generous and supportive. I really felt the love, you guys. And I only hope that I get a chance to show my support to each of you one day in return.
THAT SAID, this competition is FAR from over. You’ve already done more than enough. But if you still happen to be feeling supportive, PLEASE SHARE my Inkshares page with people you think may be interested in reading or just helping me achieve a dream! It would mean the world to me.
Thank you again! More to come soon.
