    Robert Batten created a forum thread: Invisible comments
    I’ve been having intermittent trouble interacting with comments readers are leaving on my excerpts. I receive email notifications someone has added a comment to an excerpt, but when I follow the link I can’t find the comment.

    For instance:
    I received the below email, but when I click on the link...
    ...it loads the excerpt and scrolls to where the comment should be, but the comment isn’t visible.
    Based on the occasions where I have hit this, I suspect it is a lack of space — that the comment is there but hidden under the others.

    If my hunch is correct, perhaps a solution would be to mark the comment locations (highlighted sections, comment icon in margin, etc. Perhaps include a count of the number of comments against that section) and show the actual comments when you mouse over the marker (or click on it).

    I am brand new, covered with boyish optimism, and wondering where to go with my piles of papers. Would this kind of rookie fit on your blog? I read most of what you had on the first page, and I like the style.  Even if you trash my scribbles, I would be so beholden to you because reading. YOU ACTUALLY READ THE THING?! You would be braver than most and save my birthday party, (I can cry if I want to!, heh)       Thank you for any consideration.

      Robert Batten created a forum thread: Correct way to raise issues / seek help?
      I just wanted to confirm this forum is the correct place to raise issues / seek help. It seems to be looking at the website, but it doesn’t seem very active - I know I’ve had some posts up for 5 days with no response (I don’t know if there has been a public holiday in the US?).

      @Elena Stofle - can you confirm?

      Thanks.

          Robert Batten liked an update for Borehole Bazaar: A Vow Unbroken

          Good Monday everyone!  I’ve had a ROCKING GOOD WEEKEND!!!  Lots of stuff happened.  The Borehole Bazaar stuff is that I sold 36 COPIES!!!!   This is HUGE news!  I’m well on my way to making Quill, but I still need a little bit more help to get the last bit of the way!

          For those of y’all who have picked up 2 or more copies this last week, I’m busily making the spiral bound collection of the short stories for folks.  Most of the stories are hand illustrated, with a bonus secret story that is not.  As always, pre-read anything before having kids read the stories, although they should be pretty good for most ages.  The indented story is this week’s tale, though the rest are present in case you’ve missed anything!

          Kiki and the Cantaloupe
          Kiki Angers Ambition
          Kiki Meets Tranquility
          Pretty Girl and Luchadore
          Bosco Follows his Nose
          Forgiveness in a Latte
          A Simple Game
          -->;;;;;;;;;;;;  Telles Catches Hope

          And, of course, please check out the changes to Borehole Bazaar’s Landing Page!

          Now, for the big announcement, and pass it on if you see these folks online or such;

          THIS WEEK, WE HIT TWO 25 pre-order benchmarks!!!

          the winners are

          Dun Dun Dun!!!

          Patricia Brunns (150 benchmark) and Ferd Crotte(175 benchmark)!!!!  Congratulations to both of you!  Only 24 more Pre-Orders to the next winner and one entry per pre-order makes for lots of extra chances!!!
