Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Beyond The Code

Greetings wonderful people,

I have just posted a new shiny book trailer made up by Yicheng Liu. Take a look and see what you think. I personally am really impressed by the results and I hope you are too.

Also we have reached to 35 sold goal. I will be posting chapter 12 very soon and a re-polished chapter 1 hopefully soon after that (still working on it)

I hope everyone's had a jolly happy Christmas and a good New Years to come. If you've liked what you've seen so far don't forget to pre-order. If you already have thank you so much for your continuing support.

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Monkey Business

Hello Everybody! It's been a long, long time since there was a Monkey Business update but I figured you guys could use a little break. I mean, monkeys are exhausting. So what's happening? Monkey Business is in production as (I think) the first Quill publication from Inkshares. Yay! It looks like it will be shipping in May and that's great because it's a perfect summer read.

Updates will become more frequent as we near release date and we've got some fun stuff in the works to ramp up for that. So I'll get back to you about all these things as they come along.

In other news I just wanted to say thank you to the following folks for their kind reviews during A.C. Weston's Review-A-Thon. And by the way, thank you Cara for making that happen. You're awesome!

Stephen Carignan, Yicheng Liu and Tony Bony Valdez. Thank you all so much for the reviews. I really appreciate them!

And lastly, not to single my man out or anything but I want to hard-pitch Tony's book Dax Harrison. This is one of my two favorite books I have yet discovered on Inkshares and I want you all to order it immediately. Here's what you do, go read the samples and just imagine Nathan Fillion as Dax Harrison... you will be made happy:

I'll update you guys again soon. Take care little monkeys and enjoy your New Year!

      Humans!

I would like to announce the newest proud owner of a "limited" edition fully customized (only 1 in circulation) GENESIS poster!

      *more drum roll*

      *even more drum roll*

      JOSEPH ASPHAHANI!

Mr Asphahani is the author of "The Animal in Man", and is currently leading the race in the Sword & Laser contest Mk II! Well done good sir!  To all the other contestants, there's still time to catch up, so keep-up the shameless advertising and self-promotion!

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season. I for one, have been pigging out like it's the eve of a Zombie apocalypse.  Hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas, and if you didn't... just suck it up, or go out and get it yourself (for the Aussies, Boxing Day sales are in effect, so a very good excuse to get off your hinies and work off all the extra kilojoules!)

As always, stay safe during the holidays (Aussies, don't forget about double demerits) and make sure you charge the batteries for the new year!

      Live long and prosper! \V/,

Thomas J. Arnold sent an update for Exile, Magus

A day late with this one thanks to the holidays, but it was a break I needed.  I hope the rest of you have also had a holiday which you enjoyed.

We still haven't hit the threshold for Chapter 6 section 1 to be uploaded, so instead I've uploaded the final section of Chapter 1 for book 2, Exile, Hunted.  Go ahead and click the link to read that if you want, though I will warn you that there are major spoilers now that the full chapter has been posted.

I'm going to still try to get another update typed today recommending some other great books.  In the meantime if you haven't ordered Exile, Magus you should.  Only 26 days left now.

As always, thanks for your time and support, keep reading, and enjoy yourselves.

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Seven Shards: The Colors of Wine

          Season’s Greetings!

There might not be any snow on the ground (at least not for most of us), but the final days of December are, in fact, here. As of today, Seven Shards has exactly ONE month to finish funding. I’m pretty confident that we’ll make it. So confident, in fact, that I’m not even going to ask for your help.

...Aw, who am I kidding? I could always use some help! If you haven’t ordered a copy yet, please do! And if you haven’t given the book a shoutout on your favorite social platform yet, well now would be a great time to do so, please and thank you!

(Or if you’ve done both of these things already, please sit tight. I continue to be tremendously thankful and couldn’t possibly ask for anything more!)

          So, onto updates! Let’s see…

This past Saturday was the Inkshares Review-a-Thon! Thanks to the enormous efforts of powerhouse A.C. Weston (author of She Is the End ), the event was a great big success. Ginormous, even!

I’d like to give a shout-out to each of the wonderful people that left me a review on Saturday! Thank You to:

          • Peter Birdsall, author of Feyside, a character-driven fantasy adventure that combines the wonder of steampunk with the magic of fairies.
          • S.M. Hillman, author of The Faceless, a sci-fi tale of revenge, discovery, and difficult choices.
          • Stephen Carignan, author of both The Sleeping Man (an immersive and imaginative fantasy) and Labels and Jellyspoons (a collection of poetry). Both are in the ‘Draft’ stage and well-worth following!
          • Alan Tucker, author of The Devil You Know, an apocalyptic sci-fi with a heavy dose of humor.
          • Andrew Wood, author of Storm of Fury, an epic fantasy with a truly unique antagonist.
          • Thomas J. Arnold, author of Exile, Magus, a true epic fantasy full of adventure and exotic dangers!
          • Jamison Stone, author of Rune of the Apprentice, and action-packed epic fantasy that is already attracting a huge following.

          and

          • Deborah L. Smith, a great family-friend-aunt and all around wonderful person!

Many, many, maaaaannnny kind words were said and I'm still buzzing from it. And blushing. Lots of blushing.

A new Author Interview is up on Myths Mists & Musings, featuring Tony Valdez. I, of course, recommend giving it a read.

And to those that occasionally check my blog, you may have noticed that I never posted a NaNoWriMo: Week 4 entry. Fret not! This doesn’t mean that I bailed on NaNoWriMo, it simply means that I haven’t gotten around to blogging about it. In case it ends up on the back burner indefinitely, let me say now that words were written and it was good.

And as of yesterday, I finished all of my Christmas shopping! Whew!

That’s all for now. I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday full of family, friends, warmth, and at least a few hours spent curled up with a book!

            Happy Holidays, You Animals!

Just yesterday, "The Animal in Man" reached 200 inkshares readers. That's amazing! I can't say thank you enough! I also can't think of a time in my life when my fingers have had to hit the exclamation mark so many times!!! Seriously!!!

Enjoy this video of myself and my lovely assistant pulling the next five lucky winners in the second 100-reader raffle! Agh, there's another exclamation!

(Did you know you can read The Animal in Man's prologue and second chapter right now by visiting my writing portfolio website? If you have the time, find out what happens to Maxan when he wakes up.)

            Goodbye for now, friends!

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Dax Harrison

                Hey everyone!

I'm probably going to be on radio silence for the next few days, so here's a few quick things to keep in mind over the holiday weekend...

The Sword & Laser Collection Contest is in full swing. If you're not familiar, this is a contest held by Inkshares including any sci-fi and fantasy books currently in funding as of December 1st. When the contest ends on January 15th, the 3 books with the most individual pre-orders will be guaranteed publishing! They don't even have to hit the usual 250 order minimum, so long as they are in the top 3 versus the other competitors.

Now this is tough for me, because I am now quite familiar with so many of these authors and their great works. Honestly, they all deserve publishing. So just go take a look, and consider backing any of these fine people. It'd be a nice Xmas present.

Side note: Technically this is the 2nd Sword & Laser Collection contest, so the full title is really "The Sword & Laser Collection Contest: The Sequel". ...Or I suppose you could call it "The Sword & Laser Collection: Part Deux", "Sword & Laser 2: The Quickening", "Sword & Laser Episode II: Attack of the Books", "Sword & Laser 2: Inkshares Boogaloo" .... "Live Free or Publish Hard"? Okay, I'm done.

Secondly, Dax is now sitting pretty at 260 pre-orders, which means it will indeed be published. However, that doesn't mean you should be deterred from continuing your orders! For those of you who have been following the project but have not yet decided to order a copy, feel free to take another look. Maybe read those sample chapters over your holiday weekend, perhaps
as you bask on the couch in a glorious food coma, and see if it tickles your fancy.

Sunday will mark the end of the initial funding campaign, however the book will remain available for pre-order until its release sometime next year. And then, it will be out! Out in the wild! Ready for one and all! Fly, my pretty! Fly!!

ALSO, don't forget! I am still raffling off those gorgeous Dax coffee mugs every 10 orders throughout the funding campaign, and that includes all orders from now through Sunday! I'm behind on my raffle videos, but I will catch up immediately after the weekend festivities are over. As it stands, I have 5 more mugs to give away, and if 2 more people order in the next couple days, there will be a 6th!

And finally, to everyone out there, have a happy and safe holiday weekend. A very merry Christmas to you all. And/or Hanukkah. Or... you know what, hang on a sec...

There we go! A friend made this a few years back. Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah everybody!
