Ricardo Henriquez liked an update for Murder at the Veterans’ Club

THREE MONTHS LEFT!

I admit to being more than a little anxious. Three months! They’ll be gone in no time! And one of those months is December and, as everyone knows, nothing except Christmas ever happens in December.

(I know what I want for Christmas.)

Well, back to the story. "The Butler did it" is a stereotype of mystery fiction, yet I’ll bet most people would be hard-pressed to name a story where that does happen. I know I can’t. Well, the nearest thing the Veterans’ Club has to a butler is the resident porter....

Until next time (THREE MONTHS LEFT!) have fun and (THREE!) keep reading.

Ricardo Henriquez sent an update for Bad Medicine: Slay it queen!

Friends, drag fans and zombie enthusiast

Only 24 hours left in the Crypt TV horror contest and our girl Bad Medicine is holding on to the second place by as string of her torn gown.

The next day will be nerve-wracking for yours truly. As I told you before, I lost my first Inkshares contest by one book; since then I’m totally traumatized.

So, if you haven’t gotten your copy of Bad Medicine: Slay it, Queen! Please, pre-order today. Do a queen a favor, put my mind at ease.

And now, the final drawing in our contest to become a drag character in the book:

The new queen joining the cast is Miss Ms. Dinah Myte (AKA Mister P.H. James)

Ms. Dinah Myte is a former U.S. Army Specialist who found a cure to his PTSD in drag.

    Congratulations to all the winners!

That’s it for today. Short and sweet.

On my end, I’ll continue pushing until the last minute of this contest.

    Happy Halloween!

Ricardo Henriquez liked an update for I Am Waltz

      Hello Readers,

Wanted to drop you a quick line as to the production progress of I Am Waltz. The manuscript will be in the hands of the copy editors within the next few weeks (depending on when they finish their current work).

I have been working furiously on the developmental edit since the funding was successful and am nearly complete.

Once the manuscript begins copy-editing we will be well on our way to getting those books in your hands or on your devices.

Again thank you all for your support. As promised, once the book is out, all those who have pre-ordered will have early access to drafts of book two and three.

      In gratitude,

      Matthew D. Dho

Ricardo Henriquez liked an update for Witherfist

The Geek & Sundry fantasy contest ends on November 1st. Eek! Though Witherfist is a good 100 readers shy of reaching the top 3 - and the prize of guaranteed full publication from Inkshares - I am so thrilled and humbled by the amount of support the book has received.  While the contest is active, I want to push the book as high as possible in the top 10.  At the time of writing, Witherfist is tantalisingly close to the number 7 spot in the top 10, thanks in part to all of the new readers who have joined the campaign this week.

I shared in a previous update some work in progress art, and now I’m happy to present the finished piece. Here is Karaben the Imperial interogator in all her glory.

Ricardo Henriquez sent an update for The Catcher’s Trap

          Dear Friends

What better day to release The Catcher’s Trap e-book than the first day of Halloween weekend!

This afternoon you will receive an e-mail from inkshares with a link and instructions to download your digital copy of The Catcher’s Trap. Fear not, if you purchased a physical copy you will receive yours very soon. The e-book is just a nice perk Inkshares offers to their readers so you can have access to your books on the go.

You all have done so much for me already, but I have to be shameless and ask you for more. Getting reviews on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Goodreads is key for a book to succeed. There is, actually, a magic number: 100

Books with over 100 reviews are featured more prominently on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Visibility is key when you are a new author trying to make a splash in an industry that releases over 3,000 books a day.

Please follow the links and leave an honest review. Seriously, be honest. If you love The Catcher’s Trap as much as you love your mama, then leave a five stars review, but if not 4 or 3 are perfectly fine. A book with all five stars reviews looks fishy to readers.

          Goodreads

          Barnes and Noble

          Amazon

Finally, don’t forget to join me on Thursday, November 10th, at 6 PM at North Haven Barnes and Noble, to celebrate the release of The Catcher’s Trap.

          You can RSVP here.

          Have a thrilling weekend!
