Storm of Fury
For untold ages, Na’lek, creator of mankind, has tolerated the sins of his people. But no more. Soon, his Fury will pour over Lantrelia, wiping humanity from the face of existence. If brave heroes do not rise to challenge him, all hope is lost.
Tabi Card liked an update for Blood Dawn
Blood Dawn is guaranteed to be published — but now’s our chance to make it even better!

Since Blood Dawn has reached and surpassed the 250-copy minimum pre-order, it will be published under Inkshares’s Quill imprint.  Quill is a lighter publishing imprint with lower-level editing and print-on-demand-style paperback books.  But if we can reach the 750-copy pre-order level, Blood Dawn will qualify for the full Inkshares publishing imprint — which means much better editing, higher quality paperback books, and larger marketing and distribution work by Inkshares.  (There are a number of other differences, which you can find detailed here.)

While I am thrilled and gratified that Blood Dawn will be published under the Quill imprint, I would be overjoyed if we could reach the Inkshares imprint.

So, what am I asking of you today?

If you haven’t yet pre-ordered your copy of Blood Dawn, please click here to be taken to the Blood Dawn page to purchase your copy now.  Ebooks are $10 and print books are $20 (plus $15 shipping for international orders).

If you’ve already pre-ordered your copy — or even if you haven’t done so yet — please help me get the word out that Blood Dawn will soon be published.  There are now 400 readers following this project. If we could each just get one person to pre-order Blood Dawn, we will almost reach the Inkshares imprint level.

Finally, seeing that this coming week is Thanksgiving for the US, I thought it appropriate to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting Blood Dawn — either by ordering a copy (or several) or by simply following the project and expressing your interest.  Authors and their books go nowhere without readers, so I am eternally indebted to you for your support.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

      Hi lovely people!

If you think about it, Friday is pretty much the weekend. And if you close your eyes and breathe deeply on a Monday morning, you can almost imagine that it's still the weekend. SO here's my Friday update!

Everyone go read this absolutely stellar interview, "What's Hybrid Publishing All About Anyway?" by John Robin on book coach Jenni Nash's blog. If you ever wondered how to explain Inkshares to friends, family, and strangers, read this!

Here's the video of me reading an excerpt from the end of Episode I last Sunday at the MNSpec 2015 Local Author Showcase! I have that problem where I'm mortified watching myself on video and hearing the sound of my own voice recorded, but OH WELL!

(I say "uh" about 17 times at the end. You'd think I've never done any public speaking before! UGH CARA WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.)

      Upcoming Events:

      • I'll have an artist's table at the Holiday Geek Expo Dec 5th and 6th. I'll be selling a bunch of art and trying to hock my book, of course!
Look at this mock cover Alex made from my illustration!

      • Inkshares Review-a-Thon Day! (Date TBD)
I'm planning a day of getting people (authors and readers) to review books on Inkshares. We already have several prizes in the works for people willing to post reviews during the event. I want to do author Q&As throughout the day, maybe hold something live like a Google+ hangout, and I'd love for authors to come up with their own ways to participate. Make up your own contest, give away prizes, whatever you want!

IF YOU WANT TO HELP ME PLAN THIS THING message me on twitter @acwestonwrites. Thanks!

      • Inkshares Authors Showcase Coloring and Activity Book, 2nd Edition!
Yep, we're doing another one. Details to follow.

      FINALLY:

If you liked the Wheel of Time series, go check out Storm of Fury by Andrew Wood:

The Fury has stood for a thousand years, and the bones of men are scattered beneath its terrible winds. Legions of horrors are forged within by a vengeful god and march outwards to wage war upon all sinners. This is humanity's fate.

      ORDER IT!
