I am interested in creating a campaign for my Sci-Fi novel Upon Stilted Cities here on InkShares. I currently have it in draft mode. 

This book, is the first in a series, so my question is, does each book stand alone in the distribution rights for Inkshares or do directly related sequels or prequels also become a part of Inkshares automatically? 

My example is also further complicated because I have several novellas and shorter novels written that tie into the universe but not necessarily directly to the story. So I guess ultimately I am asking, is the contract a book by book basis? 

I always go soundtracks. For my current novel, when I’m really in the writing mode, I have a playlist of sci-fi soundtracks and music with similar themes. The most notable choice I listen to out of that is the Moon soundtrack by Clint Mansell. I love atmospheric instrumentals.

Thomas Bergensen’s album "Sun" was on repeat the entire time while writing my book. Totally inspirational and uplifting music.

You know, I like to listen to jazz when I’m creating. Maybe pop into a local Starbucks, a little people watching then getting down to thinking, creating and putting words to paper. 

So, I am an anthropologist, I am curious. Is this book more satirical or will you actually use case studies and data to make your points? If so, can I ask if you are looking at cross-cultural models or are you approaching this from a more sociological perspective? And are there particular theories/theorists your employing? 

I am actually really asking, not just being an asshole. ;) because I think this could be an interesting book on power dynamics and social control and I am curious if that is the direction you are heading.
