Lots of folks have been soliciting feedback on the forums for a few weeks now. As an Inkshares Drafter myself, I know firsthand how hard it can be to get feedback here. So I decided to do something about it!

Critshares is a private group I’ve created on the online critiquing community Scribophile. Critshares was created to address the needs of Inkshares writers looking for detailed feedback on their work. The goal of this group is to help Inkshares authors put their ‘best foot forward’ in order to increase their chances of funding success.

WHAT IS SCRIBOPHILE?
Scribophile is an active, online social writing workshop and writer’s community. It’s an incredible way to get detailed feedback on your writing, learn how to critique, make friends, and build an audience. The site also contains forums, public groups, and contests. I cannot stress enough how great it is, especially for new writers. And it’s free! FAQs here.

HOW IT WORKS
Scribophile works on a ‘credit’ system, where you earn credits to post your own work by providing critiques on the work others have posted.

Critiquing earns you “Karma Points” (the site’s system of currency) which you use to pay for submitting. Once you’ve accumulated 5 karma points, you can post a work on the site. Each work ‘costs’ 5 points.

Upon posting your first chapter, your work will go into the public ‘New Member Spotlight’ to help you get noticed and get your first critiques. Your work is guaranteed to receive 3 critiques from the community-at-large before leaving the spotlight. Critshares members are also guaranteed an additional critique from a group member once their work leaves the spotlight.

Typically, it takes 2-3 critiques to get enough Karma to submit. You get more Karma the more detailed your critique. This is quite easy to earn, but…

NEW MEMBER BONUS KARMA!
As an inaugural bonus, I’ll be gifting 1 Karma point (from my own Karma pool) to the first 5 new group members who join after the posting of this announcement and complete one critique. Scribophile gives you 2 points right away when you sign up. So you’ll be that much closer to posting your work and getting critiques!

MEMBERSHIP
Scribophile is free to join and use. There is a premium option which gives you access to additional features. Premium members also get a discount on a Scrivener license!

The easiest way to gain followers for your project is to jump in and get involved with others and their projects. Read some of the other work on the site, leave reviews, make recommendations, follow other authors and their books and many people will reciprocate and take a look at your work as well.

Promoting on other sites is probably best left for when you start funding since it’s always harder to get people to click a link a second or third time.

    Hope this helps!

      Cem Bilici recommended Recidivism
This sounded right up my alley - intriguing and dark - and the first chapter promises that and more.
