Really looking forward to this one!
Ryn and Josalind are caught between rival forces that would either use them, kill them, or venerate them as lost gods returned. Their best hope lies with finding the mysterious Crucible Tree. But unlocking its secrets comes with a brutal price.
BoAT pulled me in with an interesting start and interesting characters and kept me reading to find out what happens next.
Flintlock epic fantasy that’s a bit dark without going all grimdark. A condemned witch and a traumatized soldier on the run refuse to become the pawns of dead gods who want to murder their parents and a living sword with dreams of genocide.
