Howling Wolf and a collection of other village members wait at the start of the trail, for Sinclair’s departure. One of the younger indigenous women holds the reigns of a colt in her hands as Sinclair approaches.
HOWLING WOLF
We have a stead here to take with you, it’s a restless one, but hopefully it’s youthful energy will be enough to get you to your destination.
SINCLAIR
[Grabs the reigns of the colt] I thank you and your people for guiding the start of my journey, any news for me to deliver to Webbwood?
HOWLING WOLF
Only that they are treat you with the hospitality of our people – you have a long journey ahead.
Both men give one another a nod and Sinclair mounts the horse. The colt trots in disagreement to its new honors commands, but the struggle dissipates once the heel of the rider’s boots buck into the side of the colt. The rider and the mount depart for the trail, as the villagers watch in somber, down an unknown trail shrouded with danger and mystery. Sinclair can’t help, but fear he isn’t the first to brace this trail with confidence.
