Prologue

Urban Legends are something that all human beings become aware of at some point in their life.  But where do these legends and stories come from?  Are they actual accounts of encounters, tales from the beyond, or are they just made up fiction, created to stimulate our over imaginative minds and curiosity.  The world may never know the answers to these riddles, but the Urban Legends and myths of our forefathers will live on in infamy till the end of time.

As American's we have all grown up hearing stories about hook men, mysterious phantom lights, and even spectral locomotives but only recently has a new Urban Legend emerged that has brought along with it speculations and vast curiosity.  The Urban Legend I speak of is that of the "Black Eyed Kids" or children as they are sometimes called.  Of all the Urban Legends and Myths that surround us in current times, nothing is more startling or even horrific than the tales of these kids that are popping up in great numbers throughout the country.

They start off almost as a demonic possession would start, slowly and ever so calmly, but as the incident progresses over time, it becomes almost a nightmare that is inescapable.  Typically people will notice that these children are around their house or place of business and they appear to just loiter and stare, almost as if they are casing the location or who knows the individual.  Over the course of days, even weeks in some instances, these children will get ever more interested in what they are watching and almost braver as they approach closer and closer to their subject and then it happens.

Most of the stories that are in circulation proceed as follows.

The Children will wait until you are inside and initiate contact with the individual by ringing the door bell or knocking on the door.  The person will answer but with hesitation as the children will act in a way that is most unbecoming of a child in current times.  They often ask questions such as.

  1. May we enter and use the phone to call our parents?  They are worried about us and we need to let them know that we are ok.
  2. We are thirsty.  Can we come in for a glass of water?
  3. We are lost can we come in and use your phone?

The most interesting part about this portion of the encounter lends to the fact that they seem to be unable to enter domicile without permission and this leads a lot of investigators and authorities in the paranormal field to lean towards the vampire theory.  That is, that vampires, no matter how powerful or manipulative, cannot bend free will and enter a place of living without uninhibited solicitation from the owning party.

If that wasn't scary enough, people notice when they answer the door to greet the children that they are pale and almost inhuman in their actions and movements.  Some reports have indicated that their appearance is almost false in terms of appearances and mannerisms.  This fact, along with the pale skin leads other authorities to lean more towards the theory that they are drones of aliens, or "Grays" as some call them, and the reason they are interacting with people is to document our behaviors and emotions to stressful situations.  Almost like a trial of intelligence for our species.

But, the most horrifying and disturbing case of the Black Eyed Kids comes from their name.  When people answer the door to greet them they notice that their eyes are unnatural.  They are pitch black and some say you can even see your reflection completely in them.  This, along with the fact that they often are associated with a putrid smell, almost like that of decaying meat leads most authorities to navigate towards the side of Demons.

Well, if they are Demons, why do they choose the form of children, and why are their eyes completely black?  Think about it would you be more welcoming to a child knocking on your door at 10 pm in the evening or a 40 year old man or woman that you have never seen or met before?  Children are always associated with innocence so why not present yourself as a child.  The theory of why their eyes are black is ever so crucial in the Demonic theory.  The theory behind the reason their eyes are black is that their souls are corrupt and your eyes are the gateway into the soul, so it is physically impossible for a demon to portray a falsity within this physical feature of the human physiology.  In other words, demons do not have souls.  This is reflected in the child's eyes, which are completely black and without meaning.

So those are the theories behind what the Black Eyed Kids or BEK's may actually be but that is not the extent of the encounters.  Once the person opens the door and greets the children asking what they want, they normally get an uneasy feeling and turn down the request for entry into their domicile.  The feeling of uneasiness that is associated with the meeting of these children is often correlated to fear.  The feeling that there is something wrong with these kids and something bad is going to happen if they are allowed entrance.  The person then tells the children that they cannot help them and they are sorry and closes and locks the door.

The children do not give up and continually try to gain access by re-initiating contact.  The most curious part about the whole situation is that in almost every case the person who is being targeted feels as if the kids can see through the walls.  In other words, sometimes the people will retreat to their bedrooms but the children will start knocking on the bedroom window asking the same questions trying to gain access to the home.  It's almost like they can tell where you are even without being in the home.  After a while the person will become very frightened and almost scared for their lives, so they will try to either call the authorities or someone they can trust to come over and deter the children from their house.

By the time someone shows up to the rescue, there is no sign or evidence that the children were ever there and 99 percent of the time, the children never return.

Who or what are these Black Eyed Kids?  The world may never know, but through continued investigation and research into their attacks we may further gather evidence towards their true nature.

I have belonged to a Paranormal Research Organization for the past three years called S.P.O.O.KS (Supernatural Paranormal Organization of Kansas) and over this time period I have encountered things that no person should ever have to encounter.  The answer to "Are Ghosts and Paranormal Phenomena Real?" has been answered for me and that answer is a resounding YES!  I have no doubt in my mind that this Urban Legend of the Black Eyed Kids is just starting and over the course of the future their appearances will greatly increase.  After all, we used to think that DNA was a myth, now look at the Scientific Community.
