I indeed found Victor at the bar of the strip club where I had first met him. He once again sat in the dark corner of the bar, drinking and eating as he looked over the girls. When he noticed me he gave me a toothy smile and gestured for me to come over.
“What a surprise to see you here again at this time of day,” he said as he lifted a glass to his mouth. I sat down next to him and watched a wavy-haired brunette walk around; she was a looking a little nervous. “That is Sadie, she works at the bar here. She isn’t used to working the slow afternoons yet.” He placed money on the bar and got up. “Let’s go, we have a girl to find,” he said. I agreed with him and followed.
As we walked out of the strip club he asked, “So where to now?”
I had to admit I had no real idea where to go to now, so I decided to take the high road and go to someone I would gladly not have seen ever again. She ruled over the lycans with an iron fist. There was a reason the special crime scene units were mostly made up of lycans: they had an amazing sense of smell.
“We are going to see Risi, the leader of the lycans,” I told Victor. He stopped and looked at me; it was well known furries and lycans didn’t mix well.
“Do we have to go there? We could be looking all over the place, why not have the cops go over there?” Victor begged, almost like a small child told they were going to the dentist. I shook my head. “I wish we could, but they would see less than we will if we go straight to Risi. She might be a raging bitch in more ways than one, but she gets things done. She might be able to help us keep close eyes on their territory.” He gave me a disappointed look and sighed. “Fine, lead the way.”
