Hello. I almost didn’t notice you there. My little corner of the world hasn’t been the safest place these last few weeks. You’d do well to get out of here.

Alright then, I’ll indulge you for a moment. What brings you this way?
A story?
About me?
How absurd that you would want a story about me. I doubt the world will ever view me as having ever done anything of real consequence, and that is just fine by me. I’m content in my little corner of the world, keeping to myself and enjoying my leisure time. But, I suppose I do have a story for you. It isn’t about me, although I do have a small part.
What is it about?
It is the tale of two men, a regular riff on good versus evil I suppose, if you believe in that sort of thing; I tend not to most of the time, but this story is true, I swear. I even witnessed some of it with my own eyes.

Who am I?
That is of very little consequence to the story. I might tell, but I need to be sure I can trust you first. And, this isn’t a story about me, like I said before. Our hero is Sheriff Harkins, or perhaps Alan Potter, depending on your point of view. It is about the good Sheriff trying to catch Alan after he had—
