Star Trek XX Century Money -  Dinero en el siglo XX

On three occasions they heard in Star Trek that they did not use money, but in the three opportunities they were in dialogs in a twentieth century environment, with people residing in the past.??Why has never been heard a similar dialogue with beings That reside in the linear time of each of the characters?

Star Trek The Voyage Home

When he needed to use a public transport service to go to the aquarium, Kirk acknowledged that the exchange system he used in the twenty-third century was not useful in the twentieth century. Nor could he "replicate" money from that time, because it would be a crime of counterfeiting coins.

KIRK: They’re still using money. We’ve got to find some

The same situation arose at the place where Kirk was eating with Gillian, Kirk’s means of payment, would not be recognized by employees, whether it be a credit or debit card.

GILLIAN: Don’t’ tell me they don’t use money in the twenty-third century. KIRK: Well, they don’t.

ST The Next Generation Neutral Zone

In the episode TN TNG The Neutral Zone, Jean Luc Picard, communicates to Ralph, that in the XXIV century, the material necessities do not exist, because Mr. Offenhouse wanted to impose his thoughts in the ship Enterprise, ensuring that the military career never has Been considered a means of promotion, and because he wished to contact his lawyer. It was a way to calm him down.

RALPH: Believe me, I’m fully cognisant of where I am, and when. It is simply that I have more to protect than a man in your position could possibly imagine. No offence, but a military career has never been considered to be upwardly mobile. I must contact my lawyer.

. . .

RALPH: Then what will happen to us? There’s no trace of my money. My office is gone. What will I do? How will I live?

PICARD: This is the twenty fourth century. Material needs no longer exist.

RALPH: Then what’s the challenge?

PICARD: The challenge, Mister Offenhouse, is to improve yourself. To enrich yourself. Enjoy it.

Star Trek  First Contact

Picard tells Lily, who is living in post-war situations, that the economy is different, and because of the lady’s nervousness to be in a strange place, it was best to placate the moment, considering all the effort she had made to Obtain the resources to manufacture the Phoenix.

LILY: How big is this ship?

PICARD: There are twenty-four decks. Almost seven hundred metres long.

LILY: It took me six months to scrounge up enough titanium just to build a four-metre cockpit. ...How much did this thing cost?

PICARD: The economics of the future are somewhat different. ...You see, money doesn’t exist in the twenty-fourth century.

LILY: No money! That means you don’t get paid.

PICARD: The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. ...We work to better ourselves ...and the rest of humanity. Actually we’re rather like yourself and Doctor Cochrane.
