Chapter 3 I get committed

If you are reading this, At least in the form that it is now then you know I am more than a little crazy. I didn’t need another scandal to get committed, but one certainly wouldn’t help. The police were at my door. I took a photo of the largest bird the california condor and converted it to sound. I played it and then hesitated. There’s no way I’m going to be able to fly. The cops marched up the stairs. I wasn’t anything if I wasn’t irrational.

I jumped out the window. A cop grabbed me and pulled me up. I thanked them. I was happy to be alive, although I knew it wouldn’t be much of a life. "Suspect Captured" rang out over the radio.

I was chained to a chair. "Normally we’d sent you straight to prison, but you belong in a place with facilities that can deal with your condition", said the watching policeman. I was sent to a mental hospital I’d never seen before. However, wherever I was I wasn’t leaving. I had just stolen a nasa rocket. I wasn’t going anywhere. I bolted through the door, but there was another door and it was electronically sealed. I ended up running out to the field for the prisoners. I bolted past them, but eventually it was over. they grabbed me. I tried to push them off. I suppose it was wrong. I feel it was more defensive. I wasn’t going to hurt someone that apprehended me. However, the reason I was there was that was the assumption. When I had been sent to mental hospitals before, I had never had run-ins with the police.

Okay, fine there was one once when I left the house without a shirt on in the middle of the night. Again, we’ve established I’m crazy. It’s just usually I’m brought there by concerned family, and usually these things would have resolved themselves without imprisonment. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m not deliberately a threat to myself. I’m not saying, I make good decisions for myself. This story is an example of that, so if i’m gonna to be committed for any reason. It’s because I’m a threat to others and the preceding story was the first time there was proof of that. I don’t see myself as violent. I just don’t see it as a solution to any problem. Violence is the only reason for an eye for eye. This subject is needlessly complicated but we would have a much better world without violence.

“How did you clone them”, a Us Official said. “I converted them from a picture”, I said. “If you aren’t going to be serious, we are going to come down on you with the full power of the U.S government”, a US official said. “Sou-files”, I said. “This isn’t funny”, a Us Official said. “Ill show you”, I said desperately coming to grips with my own sanity. I jumped up and flew around the room.

However, there was nowhere to go.

“What in the hell Operation pegasus”, a US official said. “I came up with this myself I don’t know wha”, I said. My stomach was now emaciated. I was fading out of consciousness and I landed thwack on the floor.

“Infra sound is dangerous”, a US official said. “But I only use it on me”, I said.

“So you know how our project used infra-sound then”, a Us official said. “I didn’t really think anything of it. Converting an image to sound isn’t complicated”, I said

“Can I go to group now, they say it’s good for my mental state if I go”, I said. “Sure go to group”, said the U.S official.

“It was time to steal stem cells. No. Actually, there is another way. It would have made for a good story though. This must likely wouldn’t work since I don’t see why storing neurons in dna would be any different than storing them on the hard drive. Anyway I took photos of neurons and converted them to sound and copied them throughout the hard drive. After that, I used a program I used to talk to the robot to test damage to the computer.” I said to the group.

Group did not go well. They emphatically said there was no way I would ever be found mentally competent for trial.

“I am very glad you stole that rocket ship”, the U.S official said. “Why”, I said. “Infrasound is usually used as a weapon. It could whip the country into a frenzy if they knew we had that kind of technology”, the U.S official said. “Why”, I said. “Well it’s like we invented a car, but cars can be as deadly as guns. All anyone will see the technology is is as a gun.”, a U.S official said. “Do what you want. I really don’t care.”, I said. “However, I forgot you’re going to escape”, a U.S official said. “I don’t see how”, I said. “Well since you can escape, things have changed slightly”, said the U.S official official said. "You sound kind of awkward, do you have social anxiety.", I said. "How dare you", they said.

I went to bed. A guard woke me up and gave me a paper.

Reason for hold: treason.

"Get up." "You’re being transferred." I flew away. Unfortunately, the ceilings weren’t very high. A guard fired a taser gun at me and I fell to the ground. I was now in a 12 foot long 12 foot wide tube. And that was that. I was kept on the floor.

“I knew now that I could fly, I could escape anywhere”, I said. “I just needed to make it to trial.” However, after it was deemed that trying me was a threat to national security I was tried in absentia. Since there was no evidence that I had stolen the rocket, and the eyewitness accounts were inconsistent. The main point of contention was why I was on Nasa property. However, with pressure from the government the judge ruled in favor of life imprisonment.
