Hi guys and gals,
I will dispense with the pleasantries for we have a lot of ground to cover in one piece of communications and it’s all kind of important. Bear with me friends, it’s all relatively good news.
Signed copies
Once ‘A God in the Shed’ reaches its pre-order goal of 750, it will get published in both digital and physical, paperback formats. Everyone who pre-ordered will receive a signed paperback copy of the book. Unfortunately, to accommodate this bonus along with the lower pre-order goal, the price of pre-orders will jump to 20$ per copy starting October 30th at 3pm (EST). This means that if you’ve already pre-ordered or pre-order before that date, you will get the signed copy but only pay the current price of 9.99$. If you have credits lying around or are still hesitating to pre-order ‘A God in the Shed’, now’s the time to get in on this. Spread the word; new Inkshares members still get 5$ credit on their first pre-order.
Can*Con
If you are in or around the Ottawa area this coming weekend, I will be participating in a panel on Crowdfunded publishing Sunday afternoon at 2pm. You can come see me there or, if you don’t plan on attending Can*Con but would still like to hang out, we’ll be having a meet up at the Three Brewers in downtown Ottawa at 5pm on Saturday. Look for my goofy looking face or the table with a poster of ‘The Life Engineered’ next to it. I’ll have some signed robot prints to give out.
Shipping costs
Inkshares is adding a 15$ shipping cost for each copies of books pre-ordered. This only applies to international orders (including Canada). This doesn’t apply to those who have already pre-ordered. As far as I know and if I read the update correctly, it will not apply to books ordered before October 30th at 3pm (EST). It’s a steep increase and has caused much gnashing of teeth, but considering how much The Man loves to gouge people on international shipping, I’m not exactly surprised. I know a lot of people who pre-order these books are doing it to support up and coming authors and tossing in a few extra dollars isn’t the end of the world, but it’s a steep price and I want potential future supporters to be aware of it.
Thanks for your support friends and remember; the best way to see this book published is to help share it with others.
