Beautifully written, A Friend for Otter takes us on journey across a vivid landscape as wild and terrifying as a child's imagination. Imbria is built so that the rules of magic and industry merge into something somehow both dystopian and hopeful.  Reminiscent of Dickens, of fairy tales long forgotten, Imbria embraces an alternate reality one hopes one's children must never experience. I can't help but cheer for Otter.
