Reading The Week Of... was a thrill.  I really love the passion that is behind this and that's why I chose to do an audio excerpt.  Michael has an intriguing story here that immediately gets the readers attention right out of the gate.  I can't wait to read more, and good luck with the funding!

In the first three minutes, the reader experiences a heartbreaking and tragically private moment in the life of one who loses a child.  Many people around the world have rainbow babies and some, if not most, never truly recover from the loss.  The strength needed to put these feelings into words... I'm not sure I could have ever found it.Michael Melilli writes with raw emotions and sad truths about the loss of a child.  Though the topic is grim, I am eager to see how his characters deal with this loss and how they move forward toward healing their shattered souls. 3 Point 8... Just the title alone renders me speechless.

I have never forgiven Alan Alda for M*A*S*H's final episode. My television had stopped working 2 years before, and I got it repaired specifically to see the biggest finale ever promoted. There I sat watching with my 3-month old son in my arms. He's 32 now, and I still carry the psychological scar. How much more deeply scarring Michael Melilli's truth must be. 3 Point 8 is heart-rending in just the first chapter. He promises supernatural forces to soften the blow, and I can only hope they have helped lessened his pain. A compelling subject in a well-written story.

If you haven’t pre-ordered 3point8, just a reminder to check it out! I’ve added some additional excerpts from throughout the first act of the book to give you an even better taste of where this story is going. And remember, 50% of everything I make on this book will be going to an amazing charity, Forever Footprints (http://www.foreverfootprints.org/). They’re an amazing organization that works to support families that have suffered a pregnancy or infant loss.

Right off the bat I was enticed by the premise and the quick synopsis of the story. Reading more into what the book is about and the meaning behind it, I really want to get my hands on the rest of this book.

To help him recover from the death of his 11 day old daughter, Michael Melilli wrote this fantasy about the supernatural disappearance of a child. Heart-rending.

As thrilling as it is heartbreaking.
