Tony Valdez liked an update for Ageless

Hi friends! This contest is coming to its finale very soon! This is my CALL TO ARMS – it’s time to act! Pre-order Too Many Contollers right now, no more dawdling!

It’s much more than an e-book or a copy for your shelves; this is an opportunity to support the little guys, the people who work hard to reach for their dreams. The people who have real talent and need a break. This could be it and YOU should be part of it.

For the price of a few gourmet coffees you can help this campaign succeed, while being a part of something unprecedented (The first anthology from this publisher).

I need you. We need you!

I love you guys, thanks for the continued support. You truly are the best people I know!

Nerdist has officially announced their schedule for #Conival, their weekend long event in San Diego alongside San Diego Comic Con! This time next week I’ll be in San Diego, attending several of the events as well as prepping to participate in a panel on Sunday, July 24th, with Inkshares CEO Jeremy Thomas, and fellow Inkshares/Nerdist author Dave Barrett! The panel is at 11:30am on the main stage, and it is free to attend! So if you’re going to be in the area, make sure to stop by and hang out!

If you are unable to attend, but live in Orlando, Florida, or are able to travel to Orlando, a Barnes & Noble will be hosting a launch party for Welcome to Deadland on Saturday, August 6th, at 7:00pm! The address is 7900 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819. I’ll be signing copies and celebrating with some of the wonderful people that believed in my book, supported my dream, and helped it come to fruition.

I hope to see many of you in the very near future!

      Author Spotlight

Taking a break from self-promotion with today’s update to talk about a fellow author. I would like to highlight this incredible book by fellow Dragons, Dread, and Droids member, Landon Trine: First On Mars.

First On Mars is an extremely interesting sci-fi book that from the first chapter seems like a rush of tension. The book explores the first manned crew to venture off to Mars. Though sabotage and distrust plague their journey. Will they be able to band together in order to survive or will they tear each other apart?

Please support this independent science fiction author in pursuing his craft. Go give his content a gander that is free on his page, and if you dig it snag a copy.

      Thank you.

Just a little shout from the deep. I’ve been writing, it’s been excellent. I’m really excited. I’m on track to deliver the manuscript to Inkshares by the end of September.

The one thing I need are some volunteers to beta read the manuscript. I’ll be reaching out to some people privately but, if anyone else is interested, feel free to get in touch with me.

        Excelsior.

Tony Valdez liked an update for In Beta

Hey folks. Good news! This morning, I was featured on an episode of the "Oatley Academy Artcast." If you want to listen to me talk a little about IN BETA, and a lot about pitching feature films, check it out here: http://oatleyacademy.com/firstfeaturepitch/

Even this awesome jolt of publicity won’t be enough to win the Nerdist contest. There are two days left, and the battle for 2nd and 3rd place is HOTLY contested.

I need your help to end up in the top 3 spots. If you’ve been waiting to order, now is the time. If you have already ordered, please turn to a nerd friend, tap them on the shoulder, and softly whisper in their ear that your buddy Prescott has a book they might like. With the Inkshare’s $5 credit, the ebook for IN BETA is only $5. Be sure and whisper it real soft.

And remember: You can’t spell "success" without a "u".

Hearken, loyal readers and supporters! For those of you who pre-ordered paperbacks, they’ve been signed and will soon be on their way! And everyone will be receiving their e-book  copies very soon...(and if the skull seems uh, weird, it will make more sense at that point in time...  or you can just read THIS!)

This work promises to showcase the best of what science fiction can be, familiar, yet strange, and exploring timely and deep philosophical questions while also entertaining and delighting readers.

Please support this independent science fiction author in pursuing his craft. All author proceeds go to the families of those killed in the Orlando nightclub shooting, so you will also be supporting a good cause.

                Thank you.

Tony Valdez liked an update for Welcome to Deadland

                  Hello Everyone!

I know I sent out an update a few days ago, but in the days since the eBook was released to backers, and as we get closer to the official launch date and release of the physical copies, a few exciting things have happened!

Today, as I was sitting on some steps at the park trying to catch a Dratini in Pokemon Go, I received an email with a link to an article. Out Traveler has listed Welcome to Deadland as one of their Top 8 Summer Beach Reads! And not only that, it made the list alongside both Amy Schumer and the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script!

I’m sure you can all imagine my excitement as I stared at the article in awe. I have the crew at Nerdist, Inkshares, and Girl Friday Productions to thank for all of the hard work that went into finalizing the manuscript and pushing it to be better than the day I turned it in. And I have to thank all of the backers who supported my book during its campaign. None of this would have been possible without everyone involved. (I caught the Dratini, btw).

Yesterday I received a few text messages from two of my friends’ mom. She opened with, "WTF!!!! Why did u have to kill ____________???? I liked ___________." I guess you’re doing something right when your readers can feel such a strong connection to your characters, right?! She also went on to tell me that even though she was hesitant to read the book, because zombies and terror aren’t her thing, she was sucked in from the first chapter and finished the book over the weekend. Sorry about that shark scene, tough, Ms. Julie ;)

What was awesome about her comments though were that she showed, even if you don’t think zombies are your thing, you can still enjoy the story and characters at Welcome to Deadland’s core. If you’re still hesitating over whether or not to pre-order, maybe Publisher’s Weekly, Out Traveler, or an originally skeptical and hesitant reader can help persuade you!

Come one, come all! The gates to Deadland are opening, and you don’t want to miss out.
