Guess who was almost killed by a Time Machine? I don’t make this stuff up you guys...

Hello my Knightmares!
For all those who have purchased over the last week, thank you! We sit at 63 more orders left until we reach Quill publishing, with a timer hammering away every second. Now, I’d love to say this last 63 is going to be a cakewalk, but I have bled and bled my immediate contacts for orders, and I just don’t see any more coming easy. I’ve started getting hate mail...seriously. I need you, my dear fans/readers/friends/family to help.
"How can I help?" you ask.
You can help by getting two friends, just two friends to buy a copy (It doesn’t matter if they buy an e-book for just $10). If you can get two friends to buy a copy, I’ll throw in a free t-shirt that proclaims your AWESOMENESS to the world for helping THE KNIGHTMARES get published.
Pretty rad, huh?
So let’s break this down:
Seriously you guys, this is some good stuff.
FEATURED IN
If you missed it, I was featured in Philadelphia’s premiere geek-tastic blog of all things geek, Geekadelphia. I was their Geek of the Week for the week of July 13th. Check out the interview, here.
BOOKS TO NOTICE
Every week I try to post 3 books that have caught my eye. Sometimes these could be already published Inkshares books, or books that just deserve more attention than they are getting. There’s a lot of talent out there.
Tantalus Depths by Evan Graham - The Diamelen’s survey mission to Tantalus 13 takes an unexpected turn when the entire planet turns out to be an ancient artificial structure. What lies in the heart of Tantalus? And why is the crew’s AI, SCARAB, willing to kill to keep its secret?
I’ve been impressed from the beginning about Evan’s fully realized world. His updates are constantly bringing new content to his fan-base, highlighting the technology and the characters.
Seven Days Dead - by "Johnsoncm" - The beginning of a zombie outbreak in the Middle East. Can people from different cultures, who have been at war with each other for centuries, overcome their differences in order to survive?
Setting can be everything to a book. We’ve seen zombies on TV and in movies in various ways, but zombies in the Middle East brings with it an entirely new set of obstacles. This is definitely something to check out for all fans of the zombie genre.
Devil’s Call by J. Danielle Dorn - Pregnant witch exacts revenge on the cowards who shot her man: a Western.
I’ve always enjoyed genre blends, and this one stands out. Not many people place fantastical/horror elements into a Western setting. I think this one stands out. The project has 15 days left, and a little ways to go, so please jump on it now while you can!
Thanks again to everyone who has stood with me every step of the way on this journey.
Good morning, everyone.
Still chugging along.
I got a couple nibbles about beta readers, but could certainly use some more. I know you’re all getting a lot of Inkshares email if you follow half as many people as I do but, if you happen to catch a glimpse of this update, let me know whether you’d like to join the beta crowd. I expect to have something for you by August.
Sorry for the week of silence, but the news has been mostly the same. I’m still working on the book and have been planning some changes to the earlier sections based on some things I’ve been told. I’ll probably start funding sometime in mid to late August or early September. By the way I turned 18 today! Which means I can stop lying about my age on half the internet.
Have a stellar day!
Top o’ the Tuesday, Space Crew!
You know what’s neat about this particular Tuesday? It’s the day before I’m doing a little travelling myself. Yeah, that’s right; I’m slacking on promo for three weeks to go chill in Europe. If any of you are around London/Paris/various German cities, hit me up and we can gush and fan over space books together.
Now, we’ve still got a ways to go on the funding.
This week I want to find podcasters. If you are one, or you know one, and you think it would be an all right place to talk about The Traveller’s Cup, please let me know. I will gleefully and awkwardly spew book nonsense in the direction of anyone who is willing to listen.
Since I’m going to be on the road for a few weeks I’m going to be hard-pressed to update you all on the haps of this book campaign for a bit. That said, I’ll probably still send you a weekly update, but you should judge it less harshly for formatting and typos because I’ll be restricted to mobile. Which also means no doodles. I’m so sorry.
So enjoy this one. I hope it ties you over despite the crushing hole I must be leaving in your heart with my brief internet vacancy.
Your Seductively Sinister Space Captain,
-AC
Crunch time...
There’s only 22 days remaining in the campaign to reach the 250 quill goal and with only another 173 pre-orders needed can you help make this dream a reality?
Please pre-order, recommend, share over Facebook or Twitter and amongst your friends and relatives to make this happen. I love the amazing support you have already granted me and would love the extra push you can give to help me along in order to reach this goal.
Thank you all for your love and support over the 6 months I have had this campaign running and I wish you all the best of luck in the coming future.
The winner of the GET YOUR NAME IN BLUE WATER contest has been chosen. Congratulations to Annie Boehnen! You’re now a character in the book! Want to see if she survives to the end? Preorder the book and tell your friends. Otherwise, you might never find out.
Readers, Friends, Family, Enemies, Everyone Else,
I have 79 more orders needed to reach the Quill Goal and Guarantee Publication.
I need ALL your help to do this. If you have not yet ordered, PLEASE do so tonight and support me!
If you have already ordered, thank you again. Please post a link to the book at www.iamwaltz.com to your facebook/twitter/Instagram asking your friends to support.
Once we reach 250 orders we will make a few more big pushes to 750 and get this thing in stores!
Thanks again,
Matt
