Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Rock of Ages

July!

My editor loves my revised outline so I’m back to writing and feeling very motivated! I’ve also finished my edits for my Deception Anthology story!

Though I try to keep everyone updated about my revision process, I don’t usually go into too much depth about my emotions during it. If you’d like to hear me speak candidly about them, check out the latest Writing Bloc podcast where I talk to authors Christopher Lee and special guest Laney Wylde all about rewrites and being a neurotic writer.

Far more important than any of this, though, there are atrocities being committed in our country by our government and in our name and I am morally obligated to use whatever platform I have to speak out about it. I’ll be working with some local friends to organize a baby carrier drive, stuff backpacks, and write postcards to elected officials. We also just started a fundraiser for RAICES, and we’d love your support. People are people and borders are arbitrary. If you can’t give, please commit to some kind of action.

I love all of you and am so thankful for your patience and encouragement as I create this book.

In late 2016, we pushed a significant update to the product, resulting in the current dashboards that include Story Machine.  Thad and I are hard at work on a product redesign focused on the overall author experience on Inkshares.  We would love to get some early feedback from some of you.  If you are interested, shoot me a DM on the site or like this comment.

Today is the one year Anniversary that U-turn at Next Synapse has been out among the wild world of cinematic literature. In other words, my book’s birthday. Woo Hoo!

Thank you to everyone, especially the Inkshares team who has made this dream into a mouth watering reality. It has been quite a year; Sold a little over 400 copies, including three at Skylight Books, not to mention 4 Amazon reviews, and did someone say audio book for 2019??

If you have not checked out this adventurous tour o’ madness and whimsy, I encourage you to do so. I would love for this book to sail to new heights, for I am not done with this story yet. Not by a long shot.

Jane-Holly Meissner liked an update for Faoii Betrayer

Updates, Faoii! We’ve taken our first hill!

Another warrior has picked up an Eternal Blade, and we’ve surpassed 50 pre-orders! Let me hear your warcry!

Our charge is building momentum, and I have no doubt that we’ll be unstoppable a month from now. But we still need more warriors in this fight. Find me soldiers. Prove to the world that this book is worth it to you. Make them hear us.

We still need another 700 orders to reach publication. We can do that. We WILL do that. But it’s going to take every one of us.

The Last Faoii, this book’s predecessor, is available here on Inkshares and on Amazon. There are more than 50 reviews there, too, if you or a potential soldier needs more proof of its worth. The audiobook should be out on Audible in the next couple months and is voiced by the well-known and INCREDIBLY talented Sara Morsey. There’s a Faoii short story coming out in an anthology in the Fall. You can follow progress on all of these developments by following me on Facebook. I’m working on making T-shirts.

We have ample recruitment tools available for this war. Let’s use them. Let’s make this real.

We’ve taken the first hill of many. It is far from the last.

        Shields up.
