Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Destiny Imperfect

Greetings Destiny-followers,

It’s rubber-meets-the road time. The bottom of the ninth. Time to call for a Hail Mary. But I know you all want to dig deep. Give a 110%. And leave it all out there.

But seriously, your support from the beginning has been fantastic. I couldn’t have done it without you. Destiny Imperfect currently sits in fifth position. We’re 16 orders off third place and we have the chance to get into the top three (and get all the yummy publishing treats that entails). There are now only 10 days left in the contest. And 10 days can pass very quickly! So you can see where this is going …

To make Destiny Imperfect a success, I not only have to have to talk to people outside Inkshares, I also need to enlist your help. If you’ve already pre-ordered, think of one person who’d like to support an up-and-coming project. Sit them down in front of a computer, fire up Inkshares and explain that they have the opportunity to take part in a paradigm shifting experience. And then get them to pre-order!

If you haven’t pre-ordered, then I’d love you to take a look at chapter one and, if it’s something you like, hit pre-order as well. You’re all crucial to this crowd-funding experience, and I’d love us to move forward together!

Have a great day!

Cheers,

Peter

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Squids In

    Hello,

Check out the pre-order stats provided by Inkshares for SQUIDS IN:

As you can see, the rate of funding has flattened off as we approach the end of the Nerdist video-game contest. By keeping a close eye on the leaderboard (I swear my F5 key is going to break due to all the double-tapping) I can see that this is apparently also true for a lot of the other entries in the contest too. The quiet before the storm perhaps?

If the contest ends as is, I would of course be slightly disappointed not to have made it into the top 3 but I would be supremely chuffed with how the contest has gone. I never thought that my silly book about a video-game playing octopus would receive this much support from within the Inkshares community and honestly, you guys make up like 50% of my pre-orders, so thank you for making me feel so welcome here!

In return, I have decided to give something back to the community by starting up a new syndicate called "Why So Serious" which will focus purely on funny, humour filled books to make us all smile and laugh in these dark and desperate times.

Feel free to join the syndicate and help us to decide the first book we should back.

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for The Seventh Age: Dawn

Greetings! Continuing in the theme of my vampire post a few weeks back, I’m going to bring you some Western Esotericism today.

Magical occultism that was highly popular during the early nineteenth century and the driving force behind the magical rules system in the world of The Seventh Age.

Don’t worry. I’m only going to give you 3 fun facts about it.

      1. L.W. Delaurence (1868-1938) was one of the great tricksters who preyed on the rich. Conning publishing houses into printing books with his name listed as the author and selling door to door pamphlets on hypnotism. Curiously, he founded a Chicago occult society called "The Order of the Black Rose" which worshiped a cigar store Indian.  This allowed him to smuggle in occult supplies for US shipping from Jamaica. Without tax evasion, many hoodoo and other poor occult sects would of died off.
      2. If you want a masters degree in Hermetisicm, regarded as one of the highest arcane spell casting and sorceries in the world, you need only go to the University of Amsterdamn. As of 2008 they offer official programs.
      3. Occultism and the rich have always had a love affair. Their parties and association with Freemasons, The Order of the Golden Dawn, and other bodies continue to this day. But one of the most infamous is the 1972 Rothschild Party. I’ve attached some pictures for you.

      Illuminati Ball 1

      Illuminati Ball 2

Illuminati Ball 3.... this is the table setting!?

Inspiration for The Seventh Age is taken heavily from these occult societies and their oddities in the shadows. A future update will focus on the other side of the fence: The anarchists.

Joseph Asphahani liked an update for Sync City

        Greetings Jackolytes,

No Sync! Surely not! I turned on the TV at an Airbnb place in Toronto and was greeted with this screen.

But fear not! Sync City and Jack are deep in production and will be coming to you in the not too distant future. Sync City is more than set to ride (and still available for pre-order!).

In the meantime Destiny Imperfect continues to battle for a top three position (now sitting fifth) in the Inkshares/Nerdist contest. Some of you have already branched out and pre-ordered this project. Thank you so much! It would be absolutely awesome if more of you could go and check out chapter one of Destiny Imperfect and pre-order. If the project doesn’t finish in the top three, it’ll be pulled and you get your money back.

I’d love this project to succeed but, to put it simply, without your help, it won’t. Be wild. If you want to take Destiny into your own hands, pre-order here.

        Cheers,

        Peter
