I’ll admit that the lack of news on the site and communication from the staff concerning funded projects has made me question pulling the book to pursue other avenues.

We all know that authors can be very successful on Inkshares, so I want to keep the faith, but I also have this little twinge of worry about the state of the company or, at the very least, keeping the first book of a 4 book series with a very vague author-publisher relationship for the contract of 2 years (Quill).

Hello ladies, gents, and gentlethem! As a newbie around here, who just uploaded my third chapter (exciting!) is there any rule of thumb to how often you should update? As often as possible? Once a week? Month? If there’s a sweet spot I’d love to know.
    Thank you!

Hahaha okay fair enough. I was wondering if you were going to employ an actual theoretical apparatus and take a comedic approach to looking at the power dynamics created by human action, or lack thereof.

For example, in the stupid asshole, you could look at the research behind cognitive dissonance and see how people can simultaneously hold contradicting beliefs. You could talk about why some people are not only ignorant but willfully ignorant and what kind of society based motivations would encourage said behavior.

It would probably require a ton of research of course and a working knowledge of either anthropology or sociology (anthropology if you were taking a cross-cultural approach).  but when I read your description I was under the impression that this is what you were doing, hence the clarifying question.

Good luck on your project in either case. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun.
