Ken, you’re awesome! Thank you for offering this.

I have a few questions... Are you going to be writing anything for these posts, or are they straight guest posts? Do you care if you actually like the books that you’ll be posting about, or are all books automatically in?

great idea and I like your writing style.  There’s a ton of blogs that lack much style and substance but I found yours to be entertaining and easy to read.

Any chance to share my stories with an audience would be welcome if only to entertain or inspire.  Cheers.

Hi Nell! I’m sure there are a lot of authors who are in the same position as you, and this forum is a great place to post this sort of request.

Here’s what I would suggest: write up a summary of what you’re looking for and post it in this thread or as a new thread, whatever you prefer. Hopefully that will help people know whether or not they’d be a good fit for you.
      Something like...

Timeline for critique: [one chapter per week until we both get through our whole books? a single critique of a 5,000-word excerpt? an exchange of 1,000 words and one critique session via email/instant messaging/Google hangout/? so that we can decide if we’re a good fit? etc etc]
      My genre(s): [your genre(s)]
Type of writing I’m aiming for: [Terry Pratchett-style humor and world building, Harry Potter-esque YA, combination of whatever authors/books you like, etc]
Type of critique I would appreciate: [straightforward hard critique, exploratory questions to help me deepen my writing, suggestions for ways to strengthen plot, help with character development, advice on the romance angle, etc]
Genres I would be ready to critique: [genres]
Type of critique I’m good at giving: [workshop-style analysis, line editing for sentence strength and clarity, general exploration of themes, etc]

      Does that make sense?
      Good luck!
