Tony Valdez liked an update for How to Get Run Over by a Truck

Hello Sweethearts!

I hope that you are doing well and that you’re having an exceptional day! I am sorry to be emailing you twice in one week, but this update was one that I couldn’t wait to share with you.

We have decided to update the cover of the book! The team at Inkshares thought that having a brighter and lighter cover would be more in the spirit of the book itself, so they updated it. I was just emailed the image moments ago, and I had to send it to you all immediately.

I didn’t think that I could love a cover more than the original cover, but I am so over the moon about this new version!  I hope that you like it too!

Heart,

Katie

Tony Valdez liked an update for The Knightmares

    Hello my Knightmares!

As I sit here today, we are currently 28 orders away from Quill publishing with 43 days left to go in my funding campaign.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to get me where I am. You guys have been awesome. I have seen people go out of their way to help, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Last weekend I went to Monster Mania, which is a small three-day horror convention located in the New Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia. I walked around and talked to some horror fans, and got some great feedback while I handed out promotional postcards to everyone who was willing to take one. I left feeling good about the work I have done, and encouraged by the people who seemed to feel a thrill as I explained to them what the book was about. Unfortunately, the 500+ postcards I handed out has turned into ZERO orders. I understand the immediacy of the consumer brain, and plan on returning in the future with physical books to sell, which I feel will do much better than the idea of investing in something that doesn’t yet exist, or won’t be in their hands for another six months or more.

With that said, I still need each and every willing person who wants to see a silly horror about a group of friends, go far. This story is for everyone who has ever watched The Goonies, Monster Squad, and even Stranger Things or Buffy the Vampire Slayer and said, "Hey, what would I do if my friends and I were stuck in a situation like that?"

This book is for everyone who loves Ghostbusters, John Dies at the End, and Sleepy Hollow.

I would suggest that everyone on the fence should go and read my guest blog post here on Inkshares’ own Jamison Stone’s blog. Meet the characters and get an idea for the story.

Or check out www.TheKnightmares.com for more information!

Also, check out THE KNIGHTMARES new landing page for more information on the swag I am offering to those who buy and help this story make it.

Now is the time to get that extra copy for a friend! Push those few remaining family members that said they’d buy a copy to actually whip out the credit card and take the plunge. For all of those who have been watchers of my work, now is the time to jump in and commit.

    OTHER PROJECTS TO CHECK OUT

Two of the hardest working writers on Inkshares need your help hitting the full 750 publishing milestone. Their books deserve your attention. If you have the chance, give their projects a look.

Tantalus Depths - by Evan Graham - The Diamelen’s survey mission to Tantalus 13 takes an unexpected turn when the entire planet turns out to be an ancient artificial structure. What lies in the heart of Tantalus? And why is the crew’s AI, SCARAB, willing to kill to keep its secret?

Cape’s Side Bay - by James Rasile - For years something has been lurking in Cape’s Side Bay. When the truth is revealed questions of mankind’s existence begin to be raised, and their worst fears are about to be realized.

Tony Valdez liked an update for Lucky

        Hi, Readers,

As I’m sure some of you saw, I have cancelled the funding campaign for Children of the Teller. I will be focusing the majority of my efforts for the next few weeks on Lucky.

Lucky only has 15 days left to fund and is 420 copies short of our funding goals. The remedy to this is simple:
        1. Order your own personal copy of Lucky
        2. Share Lucky with your family
        3. Convince your family to order their own personal copy of Lucky
        4. Share Lucky with your friends
        5. Convince your friends to order their own personal copy of Lucky.
        6. Cheer as Lucky reaches the final funding goal of 750 copies and enters production.
In the State of Texas (where I live), it doesn’t matter who you vote for as President. The Texas vote is never half and half - the simple majority carries all votes into its camp. In American politics, this means Texans have a hard time making their voices heard.
This is not the case on Inkshares, however. Your support to one campaign like Lucky can be enough to lead to victory. Now is the time to band together and make a good thing happen in this world.

        Happy reading!

Tony Valdez liked an update for Rune of the Apprentice

Exciting news Masters and Apprentices! RUNE OF THE APPRENTICE will be made into an Audible Audiobook!

I can’t begin to describe how happy this makes me. I have heard so many times, "I just don’t have time to read and really wish RUNE was an audiobook!" Well, folks, your wish is my command! Inkshares has done a wonderful job of making it all happen and I am so excited hear, Aleksi, Nataraja, Domadred, Beck, and all the other exciting characters of RUNE OF THE APPRENTICE come to life! HUGE shout out to Adam Gomolin for locking the deal down. Thank you! Also, as many of you know, I just got back from The DOTA2 International Convention and Championship. TI6 was awesome!  (Congrats to team Wings on their epic victory!) As promised MONTHS ago, I ROCKED the Antimage Cosplay, mohawk and all! My brother and I had a great time and you can view the pictures directly on Instagram HERE to get captions and info about each shot! Or for those who don’t like Instagram, there is a full gallery uploaded at the end of this post.

Lastly, for those who have not yet pre-ordered RUNE, now is the perfect time because you can get 25% off the hardcover on Amazon by clicking HERE: http://amzn.to/2aX3gWo RUNE is a great read, but don’t just take my word for it, here is what Ricardo Henriquez, author of The Catcher’s Trap had to say:
"Jamison Stone’s novel, Rune of The Apprentice, presents the reader with a detailed and beautifully crafted new world. The descriptions of Terra’s geography and its inhabitants are so vivid that I could easily imagine myself walking through the avenues, squares, and marketplaces of Mindra’s Haven. But this book is not only about a well-crafted fantastic world. Probably one of Stone’s biggest achievements is his capacity to portrait his hero’s internal struggle. Aleksi is young, powerful and good at heart but lost. Having the reader rooting for Aleksi from beginning to end requires the work of a skillful storyteller; Jamison Stone is definitely that person." ―Ricardo Henriquez, author of The Catcher’s Trap
If you have not taken a look at The Cateher’s Trap, then you really should--just be warned Ricardo is a master of horror and his book is truly a scary read!  All in all, I am so excited to be able to share RUNE with you all in audio form, and dressing up in full on Antimage Cosplay at TI6 was fantastic! The Dota community rocks! I am super excited for TI7! And again, for those who have not yet picked up their copy of RUNE, snag one here at Amazon for 25% off! http://amzn.to/2aX3gWoP.S. My next convention is Dragon Con which starts Sept 1st. Expect some more KILLER Cosplay pictures :)
