Shane Lindemoen liked an update for Eudaimonia

 Hello Friends!

Well, nearly a year ago ALL of you helped me get to here:

This "in production" thing still makes me feel like I’ve been crowned Prom Queen.

“So, Meghan, are you still writing?”

One of the teachers I hated the most in the 5th grade was my art teacher. He was a sanctimonious man who did not know how to speak to children. (I mean, we have all had jobs that weren’t ideal fits)  Every time I brought him my work he would hold it out in front of him, nod his head and say, “I mean, it is a good start.”

This was infuriating to a 10-year-old unconcerned with “perspective in a city scene” and who wanted desperately to be excused to free-time coloring.

But, to a woman of a certain age, writing a novel, “a good start” is encouraging feedback! The very thoughtful folks at Inkshares have given me a lot to consider in order to make Eudaimonia better. They have also been A LOT more helpful than my 5th-grade art teacher. I like better and I am certain you will too. Currently, I’m about a third of the way through the second round of edits. My goal is to get them wrapped up before the end of the year. Either way, I’ll let you know :)

This experience is really a lot of fun for me. But your continued interest and support is like sprinkles on top of frosting! Awww, thanks, guys!

Until I have more to report,

Meghan Godwin

Shane Lindemoen liked an update for Crow’s Gambit

      Greetings Supporters of Crow’s Gambit,

I know you have been waiting for an update and I now have something to report. I just submitted the full draft to my development editor. I am excited, relieved, and nervous all at the same time. In about three weeks I should get back lots of advice and suggestions. At that point I will spend a few weeks probably completely rewriting it. Then we go in for line editing.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Shane Lindemoen liked an update for MINE

I am consumed with finishing MINE, and heading toward a self-imposed deadline of Oct. 31 (because, the synchronicity, one year since the end of the 2017 Horror Contest) for finishing the 2nd draft. Tightening up the plot, working through some continuity issues, building that arc. Strangely enough, Ruining Boise finds itself in 3rd place with 10 followers. The fact that we’re still in the top 3, but 240 pre-orders away from any chance of a Show in this thing gives me very mixed feelings. Clearly Gumshoe Rules has run so far away from the pack that he it’s a "shoe-in" for 1st. And Christopher Huang, he’s got the chops, and surely deserves Place. But maybe, with your support, we might be able to put together enough orders for Mike and I to get a deal with this project. One thing I can tell you about our discussions on the story is to provide pure characters in a straightforward Crime/Mystery trajectory. You might want to join in the fun, too, as the drama between Mike and I unfolds, the real story being can two writers of our specific temperaments actually collaborate to finish this book? If we can, it will be killer. And yes, location is important, think of it as another character...it’s in the fricking title!

Go now, pre-order, you are in control of our destiny. Feel the power. Toy with it, watch us jump and beg.

Shane Lindemoen liked an update for Ereshk

            Good evening everyone!

Just a quick update for now, but if you weren’t already aware, Ereshk is now taking preorders, and is also entered in the 2018 Horror Contest.

Believe me, my friends and family are well aware and probably sick of hearing about it already.

I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone that has preordered so far, followed, left feedback, or just sent me a text saying "cool beans, man", Its all appreciated and means the damn world to me.

In the words of Hunter S Thompson: “We’d be fools not to ride this strange torpedo all the way out to the end.”

We’ll all make it. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Shane Lindemoen liked an update for Mushroom and Anchovy
              Greetings, adventurers!

              Happy #MushAnch Monday (on Tuesday)!

I know I said I would update you on every other Monday, but yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving, so I hope you’ll forgive me for taking the day off. I was out camping with my husband and daughter, as well as spending time with other family members. But, here I am now!

Unsurprisingly, I have, as yet nothing yet to update. The autumn has been rainy here on the east coast of Canada so far, but I managed to sneak out last weekend to do a bit of solo camping and plan my next project. For updates on that and more, you can check out my Instagram and my new website, The Practical Escapist, which I let you know about last time.

I’ll keep plugging away on this end and updating you when I can. I know that one MushAnch Monday will be the one that I have news for you. Thank you for your ongoing patience!

May your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,

Shane Lindemoen liked an update for My Place Among Men

                Hi page pals-

Round two of ’My Place Among Men’ is out the door.

I took all chapter titles, dumped them on the floor and scrambled the pile. Freaked me out a bit, but I had down time for shoulder surgery so I sorted. When both arms started working a few weeks later, I still couldn’t haul camera equipment but I could write so that’s what I did. Day and night.

My Inkshares editor wants more ’I’ perspective in this book. He’s asking for my childhood and my failures. Both make me squirm, but both are now in the book.

I moved, dropped and added chapters including this one: The Wading Game. It’s posted in the ’Read’ section of our project page here:  https://www.inkshares.com/books/my-place-among-men-0699d4

Please give it a read and let me know what you think. I’m sure my Inkshares editor will let me know what he thinks too.

                Your wordsmith,
                Kris Millgate
