If you’re in your current chapter and hitting the "upload chapter" button, it will replace your current chapter. You need to go to your main book page and click "edit" and then click the big + sign under your current chapter. This will start a fresh chapter page for you, and you can name it and upload your new chapter.

Hello,

I have additional chapters that I have typed up and ready to go, and would like to update my readers. However, whenever I got to edit my book and hit the upload chapter button, it completely replaces everything I already have written with my new upload. Is it just a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?

So I’ve been looking around at tips from different authors around here on how to get the support you need and one point they continually say is keep bugging friends and family and get the word out. While this is excellent and true what can you do if there is not really anyone in your personal circle that you can get to?

I don’t have a wide circle of friends to get support from and most of my family either doesn’t talk much or aren’t interested in a book. Especially a fantasy book.

So I’m wondering what are some other ways to gather some support off the site itself.

Hello, everyone! I know I’ve been pretty silent thus far, but my time has been consumed by my day job; when I’m not doing that, I’ve been fervently writing in order to bring my book to a close. I’m a little over halfway (and still learning how to use the site) so I will send out drafts of new chapters in the next week. I appreciate all the love and all the pre-orders! Feel free to share and refer people you think you would be interested. We have 48 days left in the competition, which is absolutely intense...there are so many wonderful authors out there, and I’m constantly inspired and impressed.
