Chris Robinson liked an update for Monkey Business

Hello folks!

My wife is currently on a plane somewhere over America doing a final read through of Monkey Business. Once she's done with that I'll be sending in the manuscript to Inkshares. Presumably they will try to turn it into something a person might actually want to read.

I don't know if they've completely worked out the light publishing process yet but we'll find out together. I'll let you know more as I know more.

Thank you all. Thank you so much.

    **********

Hi friends, readers, friendly readers, readerly friends, I hope everyone is having a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Oh. Are you talking to me?

I am talking to you, yes. And I'm sorry to bug you. (Bug you. Every time I use that phrase lately I feel like I'm making a pun on my own book. THAT'S BECAUSE I AM. Sorry, sorry. I'm shouting now. And you want to get back to your Sunday. I'll make this quick.)

Hit a bit of a plateau this week in terms of new orders. No reason to panic, as SINGLE VERSION is well over the new Inkshares light-publishing goal. So, everyone who has ordered the book will get the book, and that makes me very happy. I'm thrilled to be getting the book out there and to be working with the Inkshares team.

Regardless, I'm hopeful that SINGLE VERSION can hit the 750 mark in this last week of funding. If we can sell 140 more copies, the book will get the full Inkshares editorial and production treatment, and I'll get to fly out to sign every pre-ordered copy. I really, really want to do that.

That's the goal, but I can't do it on my own. Please help get SINGLE VERSION to 750. Share. Suggest. Recommend. Every click helps.

140 copies to go. 1 week to go. That's 20 copies a day. Funding ends 11/15...then I CAN STOP SHOUTING, and the fun part begins.

Thank you for your continued support.

Chris Robinson liked an update for ENHANCED

You are some of our favorite people on First Earth. You given us hope and helped us believe we've written a book people will enjoy.

But there's another book we hope you'll order, too, so it can reach its 750 goal by 11/15, and we can each receive an autographed copy. SINGLE VERSION by Scott Barsotti is the reason the term Roach Punk was invented right here on Inkshares. It's completely different from Enhanced (but just as well written :) ).

Please order at least one, and convince a friend as well. You won't be sorry!

Chris Robinson liked an update for Blood Dawn

Here is the updated GOD-KING banner with the 4 new GOD-KINGS who jumped on board after I shared this. (Your emblems and house names are on either side of the GOD-KING emblem at the top.)

I am eager to create more, so please, if you'd like to have your own house and emblem, consider becoming a GOD-KING backer right now by purchasing 3 copies of Blood Dawn for only $29.97. This is a great deal -- the price of a hardcover book. You'll have 3 copies of Blood Dawn -- one for yourself, and two to give to friends to spread the word about this great book.

Some of you have heard that Inkshares adjusted its funding model. All authors were given the option of moving to the new funding model, where books only require 750 pre-orders to publish, but each pre-order costs $19.99 (full price) or to stick with the old funding model, where pre-orders are at half price.

I chose to stick with the old funding model so that backers who come on board to support Blood Dawn between now and April can do so for the discounted price of $9.99 per copy -- the price of an ebook. This is a great deal, since you will also get a hardcover book as well.

Whether you want to be a GOD-KING or just to support this project by pre-ordering one copy, if you've followed Blood Dawn but haven't ordered a copy, please do so now.

OR, consider buying one copy to support this book so that it can get published:

Chris Robinson liked an update for Nowhere Else I Want to Be

          Dear Readers:

As of this moment, we have 609 of the 750 pre-orders needed for Inkshares to begin publishing "Nowhere Else I Want to Be." Thank you so much for your support of this project, especially those of you who ordered extra copies last week when the price was still low.

I have uploaded a biographical chapter to my author page. Here's how it begins:

Chapter Three – a brief biography

To this day, I hardly know how to explain why I founded, then lived and worked at Miriam’s House. Part of me wishes I didn’t have to explain at all. I wish my choice were as automatically understood as that of a wealthy business person who has risen to a position of power. Anyway, there’s no simple answer to the question, why did you want to?

But in trying to sift through it for myself, I can think of no better explanation for having ended up at Miriam’s House than the simple fact that I was a child of great sensitivity growing up in the sixties. This as much as anything else – a middle-class up-bringing with my parents’ emphasis on discipline, hard work, honesty and trustworthiness – shaped me into the woman who eventually cast her lot with homeless women living with AIDS. Read more.

Please continue to get the word out on facebook, by email, and twitter. Wouldn't it be great if we could begin publishing by the end of the year? That goal is only 141 pre-orders away.

          Have a great weekend -
          Carol
