Jason Pomerance liked an update for Sync City

Greeting Jackolytes,

Sync City’s final manuscript and cover have landed with the printers, and events are proceeding nicely. The official publication date for Sync City is February 28th, and, for those of you that pre-ordered the paperback version, they should ship on or around that date (or maybe even earlier – stranger things have happened). With this in mind, it’d be a mighty fine idea to make sure you have your correct earth-based address with Inkshares (especially if you have moved), so this compelling novel of man and machine can cruise unimpeded through the labyrinth of the international postal system.

If you are now thinking, yes, a paperback of time-fractured death and destruction is exactly what I need to see off the dregs of winter, then you can pre-order at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Book Depository, as well as many other fine online bookstores. It would also make a lovely, belated Valentine’s Day gift …

The ebook, which obviously has no postal issues to deal with, is still available for the limbo low price of $5.99 at Inkshares.

Stay tuned!

Cheers,

 Peter

Jason Pomerance liked an update for The Animal in Man

Meet Saghan. A venomous viper, hailing from the distant swamps of Drakora. A slithering, green-scaled assassin with little care for life - whether those of his victims, or his own. A slave. A self-aware puppet who knows he can never break the invisible strings of the all-powerful puppeteer.

I commissioned this concept of Saghan about a month ago, and while I received a couple other pieces in the meantime (including this amazing one of Maxan, if you haven’t already seen it), I am so utterly impressed by artist Nic Morales’ interpretation of my character that I’ve sent him to the front of the line. Saghan serves as a foil to Maxan. Whereas Maxan makes choices informed by his sense of right, Saghan has no choice, and has given up on the idea of deciding his own destiny. And yet, we have a fox, and we have a snake... Both creatures known for their cunning, their guile, their deceptive natures. Maxan and Saghan are more alike than they know.

This right here… This portrait… THIS is EXACTLY what I saw in The Animal in Man. Make no mistake, this world is brutal, full of beasts, full of killers.

I truly wish I had more news in terms of the book’s publication date, but no movement has been spied on that horizon just yet. Please continue to be patient, as I am. And in the  meantime, I will continue to post new pieces of concept art as they come in. Thanks as always for your continued support, my dear Animals.

      Hello, faithful readers and followers!

A year ago today I launched my Inkshares campaign and while it wasn’t successful, I did not give up working on the book. At the time I had barely two chapters. Today the current (and nearly final) draft is sitting at 99,000 words and twenty-three chapters.

I have revamped the Inkshares page, took down the old, outdated sample chapters and replaced them with the current prologue and first chapter. I’m really proud of this book and whether I decide to start another campaign or shop it elsewhere, I promise you it will see the light of day in some shape or form...sooner rather than later.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the constant, unwavering support. I feel 200% more confident in the current, almost finished version of the book compared to the rough idea and collection of words I had a year ago and if not for the Nerdist Space Opera contest and Inkshares itself, I’m not sure I would have taken the leap did and finally put myself out there. It has changed my life (no seriously, I’m not even exaggerating).

      Love and all that stuff,

      J

Jason Pomerance liked an update for Tears of the Assassin

            Dear Fans of the Assassin,

Today is the official publication date for Tears of the Assassin. As many are already aware, the book has been emerging on the scene with stealth and impact.  Immediate reactions from readers reveal that this book took them by surprise and hit them hard, with its gripping story.

If you have not yet received your pre-ordered copy, be vigilante of your mail box for the assassin is able to arrive unexpectedly with a forceful entry into your reading life.

I wish to thank all my supporters and the early backers who, with only faith and belief, took a chance on this project, allowing it to succeed. Now that the assassin is loose, the game changes from one of publication to that of popularity.  If you like the story, please assist me by telling your friends and posting about it on social media. You can also place a review on the bookselling sites of Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Your enthusiasm for the story is a powerfully convincing factor in the spread of the word about Tears of the Assassin.  Thank you, and with the assassin now on mission assignment, to look over your shoulder is not an unwarranted act of paranoia.

Jason Pomerance liked an update for The Catcher’s Trap

              Hello friends

It has been a couple of weeks since you heard from me. The thing is, I’m fully immersed in the world of Bad Medicine, working hard to finish the manuscript and deliver it to Inkshares. It feels great to be back in the groove, writing every day and loving every minute of it.

The world of The Catcher’s Trap is quiet these days. I’m happy to report that the book continues to sell steadily. The novel is not close to becoming a New York Times best-seller anytime soon, but I’m happy. For a completely unknown author like me, the fact that there are people out there interested in my work and willing to pay for it is winning in life.

Remember, if you want to give me a hand, please either rate or leave a review on Amazon. Reviews help make the book more visible, and visibility is the best gift you can send my way. Also, if you read it and enjoyed it, please recommend it to your friends. Click here to leave a review.

As I said before, I am working on several side projects that I will be launching in March. A couple of days ago I received the cover art for my short story Paragon Falling. I will be giving this story away for free on Amazon as a way to promote my writing. The idea is to publish a free short story every month, with the hopes to compile them into a book of short stories to be released next year.

That’s it. Short and sweet. Before I go just a quick reminder that the campaign for The Catcher’s Trap sequel is active. You can support here.

               Have a great week!

Jason Pomerance liked an update for The Seventh Age: Dawn

                Welcome to February everyone! By now, hopefully everyone has gotten their books. Some of you, may have started reading by now. So I’ve come to bring you artwork;

This is an image of a hairless squirrel cat rodent rat demon thingy that steals tacos and eats pizza. His name is Sparkles.

Say Hello. Brandwyn did this wonderful little critter, and is working on another demon that will be revealed later. You can find more of her artwork here.

Now this brings us to reviews! If you’ve read the book (liked or disliked) I would very much appreciate it if you left me a review. Rankings, Algorithms, Search Engines, are all based on reaching bench-marks of reviews--so the more reviews I get, the better chances the book has out in the wild.

Finally, I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the support. The book is finally out! From here on out, I’ll be posting updates through here maybe once a month. Based on new artwork, con news, or other progress updates on the sequel. I’ve also got a short story about Akira I’ll be bringing out this year as well.

                Gah! ~Rick.
